Yam Yam Dingles v Town -25/11/2018

Everything about that performance was spot on. But what stood out most of all for me today, was our ball retention. The spaces we were creating was top notch! Carry on like this and we will be sitting down for Christmas dinner (is it too early to mention the "C" word?) feeling very comfortable indeed!  Thumb up

You certainly dont get many of those performances on the road with the often toothless Terriers, but today we were frothing at the mouth, snarling and hunting like a pack of wolves, oh sorry thats what we expected from the black n gold.

Their fans clearly expected them to simply roll up and score a bag full, happily we had fight, back bone and a midfield 3 who took control 1st half, mooy firing home early and Mounie deserving one for his powerful header cleared.

2nd half we had to stand up to their intense 20 mins, even the prawn sandwich brigade above my back row seat getting giddy that they were about to destroy their opponent. Thankfully that 18 mm of leather ball remained out and we did enough to stall them and they eventually they blew out of steam, ole's ringing around at 80 mins unheard of !

Mooy's free kick, a full 28 minutes later I counted, the Town fans realised it wasnt the side netting ripple ( similar to Nakhi Wells is firkin sh1t goal at Bellend Road) must have been a time delay but sent the 1800 ?? wild. Great celebrations at the end and outside the ground up to the coach area, bouncing as the hordes left en masse delighted at the result and performance given.

Need to keep this roll going V BHA and consilidate our new found lower mid table position.

It's costing me money, but worth it for a great performance like that.

Well wasn't that a wonderful afternoon down here in Dingleland? Up and at 'em right from the off, stopped them playing the ball in their own half let alone in ours for much of the game and what seemed like all of the first half but the first two minutes. 10/10 performance from everyone except one. Phil Bill gets an 11 for stretching his telescopic legs to keep that header out. Thumb up Two great finishes from Mooy, pity we didn't have 'em dead and buried by half-time, but we all know why that is.

You know you've played well when you walk back into your local, and for once the Wolves fans hadn't gone straight home, and you get handshakes and congratulations from them, Baggies fans (of course) and even the L666s fans.  Big Grin

Wolves fans are saying we won because they were poor - er, we made you look poor. We shut you down almost every time you tried to break out of your own half. We didn't let you play. Other clubs will watch that match, and the Watford one, and do the same to you. I heard some loud bangs walking to the bus stop for my bus home. Thought it was fireworks but apparently it was the sound of a load of Wolves bubbles bursting.   Tongue

Bit of a thick head at work this morning, can't think why?  Tongue   Whistle

That was just fantastic to watch.
This is how I want my team to play every time we are away from home. Was getting sick of those toothless away performances.
We showed passion, fight, desire, skill, quality and for once, ruthlessness.
Cracking first goal by Mooy. Great cross from Durm. Second goal was just the icing on the cake.
I also would have given Mooy the MOM, however if they had said Billing or Hogg I wouldn't have been surprised. All 3 superb.
I was really impressed with Mounie as well. Won everything in the air, and but for a bit of luck, could have had a couple of goals.
Pritch ran his socks off and looked dangerous.

Fantastic !!!!!

Finally caught up with MOTD2. Nice to get some decent coverage for a change. Hogg’s stats were impressive, glad they singled him out. I think his sending off earlier in the season has given him a kick up the arse.
