Aye! Lenny also "rubbing their noses in it" Jim - many of them happy to dish out their banter or "poison" but not so blissful when the joke is on them in the way that Neil shows his amusement!!

Presumably he must have provoked the idiot that painted 'hang neil lennon' outside tynecastle before the game as well somehow.
Its ludicrous blaming him. Countless players and managers 'goad' in a similar way, week in week out and don't receive that kind of reaction - its long been part of the game. Fair play to derek mcinnes who just ripped up the 'it was lennons fault for provoking them' argument on the radio earlier.
I listened to a guy on the bbc morning prog who similarly commented that it was all Lenny's fault and he was the common factor. Then he professed that he was a Rangers fan!! The man's clear bias and dislike for Lenny was there for all to observe and duly scolded by the bbc presenter - lotsa other factors to consider why Tynecastle is actually the "common factor" and lets look at the management of this stadium that has a "black history" of incidents. Strict liability should be forced on footie clubs just like in many Euro leagues. Imagine if UEFA rules were applied to Hearts and these specific incidents? The penalties are clear to most footie people because we've seen them meted out often enough for racism, pitch invasion, missile throwing etc. Compare this punishment with our amateur footie operation in Scotland! It's a joke!

I wonder how the hertz fans would have handled mourinho levels of goading and taunting like last night ?
He's lucky he didn't start a riot, get a coin in the face and a 5 match ban eh ?? |
