Prediction League Results/Tables Week 10
#1

Well this week it all turns upside down, the bottom two in the Premier League table end up with the top scores this week!!! After scoring the minimum last week, Worldclass was the “world class” pick of the week in the PL with a fine 19 points courtesy of a correct score Gamball and the only player to get any points from the Bonus ball. In second place is Amelia with 13 points, one of 6 players to get a correct result on the Gamball.

Bit of a drop down to Zinman in 3rd, who not only played his Gamball, but picked up points off it as well!! Two players tied for 4th, BBB and Sanjay with 8 points. BBB wisely didn’t play the Gamball, saving him 3 points!! The next three all ended with 6 points and included the top two in the table - SCO, Matt and Derby. Not much to say here except they all picked up points on the Gamball.

In 9th and 10th place were the two promoted players - Beefy and Lord Snooty, on 2 and -3 respectively!!! Beefy actually scored 5 points on one game But getting both ball wrong among the 8 games he got wrong killed his score. Snoots was saved from the dreaded minimum score by Brum picking up a win at Stoke!! Is the PL proving too much for them after early promise?? Only time will tell but poor weeks like this will be punished in this division and with this being the 2nd week in a row with a poor score for LS I fear he may be dropping down the table a bit more!!!

Cheers
SCO

The top two matched each other’s weekly score to end the week as they started and maintain Matts lead at the top of 6 points over St Charles in 2nd.

BBB eased into 3rd place courtesy of not playing the Gamball this week and breaking the 100 point barrier in the process ahead of Beefy who drops a place into 4th, who passed the same landmark a couple of weeks ago which I unforgivably omitted to mention in week 9’s write up.

Zinman in 5th completed the leading quintet all now members of the centurions club as only 17 points separate the top 5. With nearly a third of our season gone it’s nice to see so many players separated by so few points.

Only a further half dozen away in 6th we find Sanjay after another steady week, while Worldclass made a giant stride up the table climbing three into 7th after being stuck at the bottom at the end of week 9.

Derby slipped a place into a share of 8th holding the relegation play off and only out of an automatic drop into the Championship by virtue of more correct predictions than Amelia whose decent week enabled her to move within touching distance of safety, while Snooty’s nightmare week left him rooted to the foot of the table and 12 points adrift.

Bomber

Well at least the Championship scored more points than last week......one more to be precise. Another low scoring week with very few correct predictions and only 2 positive bonus scores and just 2 successful score balls. Two matches, Albion and Wolves failed to produce a single correct prediction - I guess they let us down again - and the Bournemouth Southampton game produced a total negative score, ruining several bonus balls. This week also saw 3 worst scores of the season so far for 4eva, Twerton and Themaclad.

From all the carnage, one score stands out ahead of all the rest. Bomber only got 2 predictions right but it helps when they happen to be a correct score on the gamball and the bonus. Only 11 points but enough to give him a clear lead over the rest. Joker, Stairs and Turkeydinner share second place on 6 points, just ahead of Quantum who would have joined them had he been brave enough to play the gamball. 4eva joins Quantum on 4 points.

Baggieone had the equal most correct predictions but losses on both the gamball and bonus see him finishing with just 3 points. Ironically the lowest 2 scorers were also the only players to get their score balls correct. Twerton just managed to stay positive but this week's star performer is our early season leader Themaclad who managed a complete set of incorrect predictions and was only saved from a minimum score by his controversial use of the scoreball on the gamball game. Sadly, Spiritematt failed to predict and therefore scores minus 5 for the week, keeping Themaclad off the bottom.

Themaclad’s lead of 16 points at the top 2 weeks ago has been whittled down to just a solitary point after a blank week as Bomber enjoyed a 15 point swing to close right up in 2nd.

4eva keeps a hold of 3rd but does lose some ground on the top 2 but could be coming under fire from behind as Turkeydinner and Quantum both ease past the century mark and a share of 4th place just 4 points away.

Much like the Premiership the top 5 have put a little daylight between them and 6th where we find Stairs who carried out a little repair work to his Gamball stats this week.
Baggieone in 7th is suffering a similar nightmare where the Gamball in concerned forsaking 15 valuable points so far this season, yet still manages to climb a place thanks to Spireite’s no show again which drops him down into 8th.

Twerton did little to improve on his position in 9th, while Joker did manage to close the gap ever so slightly but did remain rooted to the bottom still 21 points adrift.

Beefy has enough problems picking games for the right weekend - specifying a particular day may be beyond him.
They say that ignorance is bliss - no wonder so many people are happy.
