CURRENT FORM
Huddersfield Town come into this game sitting at the bottom of the league. Doom and gloom you might say? Not me.
After a pretty bad start to the season, over the last few games we have come back into it more and started to play some decent stuff.
We still aren't picking up the points (or goals), but that will come.
Town last 6 league games:
Town v Tottenham 0-2
Leicester v Town 3-1
Town v Palace 0-1
Everton v Town 1-1
Town v Cardiff 0-0
Man City v Town 6-1
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Burnley come into this game after a 2nd straight league win eased them further away from the bottom 3, with a 5 point cushion. It was an away win at new boys Cardiff, with goals from Vokes and Guðmundsson moving them up to 12th.
That doesn't tell the whole story though. Cardiff had 20 attempts (5 on target) compared to Burnley's woeful 3 attempts and 2 on target. This seems to be a theme for Burnley away, as their last away game v Wolves the attempts and on target for both teams was...Wolves 30(7) and Burnley 7(2).
However, it is to Burnley we go. Their last home game gave them their first win of the season....a thumping 4-0 win v Bornmuff. Again this doesn't tell the whole story as attempts and on target were Burnley 12(5) and Bornmuff 19(5).
So it seems that teams are dominating Burnley at the moment both in attempts and possession, but Burnley seem to be more clinical in front of goal.
Watch out Town...we could well dominate attempts and possession in this game, and run out getting beat again.
Last season saw two draws between the teams.
This is Burnley's 15th game of the season. They have also played in a league cup loss to Burton and 6 games in the Europa League (eventually losing to Olympiakos in the qualifying play offs)
Burnley last 6 league games
Cardiff v Burnley 1-2
Burnley v Bornmuff 4-0
Wolves v Burnley 1-0
Burnley v Man Utd 0-2
Fulham v Burnley 4-2
Burnley v Watford 1-2

OUR OPPONENTS
Interesting facts about Burnley....
1) Burnley are one of only three teams to have won all four divisional titles, along with Wolves and Preston.
2) Only local rivals Preston have occupied the same ground for longer than Burnley, who moved into Turf Moor in 1883.
3) Burnley only adopted their famous claret-and-blue strip in 1910, a homage to the great Aston Villa side of the day. Prior to that, they had turned out in a selection of kits, ranging from green to black and amber.
