Wow a back down to earth set of results this week with probably the lowest set of scores so far this season, so it really doesn't matter if you finished towards the bottom

Bucking that trend was our Baggie Bird Amelia in a low scoring week and the only one to guess a correct Gamball result came on top of us all

The scores start to slip away then but Matt our leader will stretch his lead with a decent 11 points and came runner up.
The only other one who made it into double figures was St Charles with Ten Points and third place, with the help of a perfect Liverpool result including his score ball on the same game so five points alone on that one.
Then we have four people all on 8 points and equal 4th. For league purposes correct scores just means your in that a higher position because you have more of them, so in that order we have Snoots, Zinman with two correct scores, then Sanjay with one and BBB,
Derby and WorldClass then come in equal 8th with 6 points, thus making up most of the table, I don't seem to have missed anyone out but needless to say as DD didn't participate again he receives the Wooden Spoon, and as I mentioned earlier don't worry if you haven't had a great week you wouldn't have lost a lot of ground anyway Thumb up
Incidentally if this is your third Strike DD you will now be eliminated but are welcome to join back anytime by PM to myself , Bomber , Zinny or SCO, hope your OK mate

Beefy.
In a week when everybody across the two leagues gained a point with their score ball, Matt spends his fifth week at the top and thanks to his consistency extends his lead to 12 points this week over Beefy who suffered a six point deficit with our leader after posting his worst score of the season, possibly that’s he’s sitting at the top of a very slippery slope

Exactly as we were with the next four placings as those concerned all scored the same number of points this week, BBB in 3rd, snooty in 4th and Sanjay and Zinman in joint 5th, through various methods all added 8 points to their tally.
Derby in 7th lost a couple of points on those above him and also had his advantage cut to St Charles in 8th who climbed a place from last week, showing that a couple of points gained here and there can soon get you climbing the league.
Worldclass was the only player to drop a place this week and at the same time fell into touching distance of our star performer Amelia who made it two weeks running with decent scores amassing 37 of her points tally in weeks 5 and 6.
Assuming DD has left the party early, it’s good to see that if you take our leader out of the equation there are a mere 19 points between 2nd and 10th, further proof that the new scoring system looks to be spot on

Bomber
So a bad weekend for the gamball with nobody gaining points and only Quantum avoiding losing points by choosing (or was it forgetting?) to play it. In contrast it was 100% success rate for the score ball. The week saw the lowest total points score of the season so far, with the gamball costing a total of 24 points and the Everton loss also giving a negative score in total. Villa's lucky injury time equaliser was worth a point for them but 20 for the Championship players.
Quite a small spread of points - or it would have been if Spireitematt had put in his predictions. Leading the way is Joker thanks to getting 3 of his 4 correct predictions spot on, including his bonus - could it be the start of a resurgence? 2nd is Quantum, gaining 3 points on everyone else courtesy of his wise decision to avoid the evil gam (I wish I had followed my own advice this week).
Twerton is the only other player to reach double figures to claim 3rd place.
Mid-table sees 3 pairs of players locked together in a passionate embrace (ok, maybe not) with identical results this week. 4eva and Bomber share 4th place, Stairs and Themaclad 6th and Baggieone and Turkeydinner 8th. Sadly Spireitematt didn't send in his predictions so sits alone at the bottom.
Zin
A lot in common with the Premiership this week over in the Championship as it saw a fairly tight set of scores and but for a “no show” it would have stayed exactly the same. As Zin pointed out the Villa equaliser gleaned 20 points and it also added an additional 2 to round off another 100% set of score balls

Themaclad retains his position at the top despite posting his first single figure score of the season and coming a cropper with the Gamball for the first time too, as the whole league lost 3 points on their final totals. The lead stands at 12 points as in the Premiership, where we find Turkeydinner in 2nd who similarly posted his worst week of the season so far.
4eva and Bomber are still nip and tuck in 3rd after identical weeks which saw them edge ever so slightly nearer to the top two.
Quantum consolidated his position in 5th enjoying one of his better weeks and moved up a place in the process, as did BaggieOne up into 6th despite a less than spectacular score.
A similar story for Stairs who climbed a place into a share of 7th despite continuing his allergy to the Gamball as prediction number 6 went the same way as the 5 before it

Twerton closed up in 9th with a decent week while Joker posted his top score of the season and but for missing two weeks of predictions would probably be off the bottom and comfortably in mid table.
