That prick Zaha is moaning again. That boy needs to man up. Yeah, he gets some stick, but no more than any other skilful player. Look at the physical abuse our Rajiv gets. Does he moan? No, he gets up and gets on with it....eventually.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning it. But Zaha is paid millions to play this game and is so over protected compared to players from previous eras. He needs to watch some George Best videos and Pele in the 66 World Cup.
If he wants special protection, then he's going to have to go back to Man Utd and sit for most of his career on the bench.
Man up, tosser! Angry

He got clobbered once, got up and scored shortly afterwards. Beyond that we didn't let him play but we didn't kick him over the stands either. He scored a very good goal the one time we gave him too much room. Without him it was a 0-0 game as neither side looked like scoring, for all the huffing and puffing we did.

Beyond that, our lad got booked for pulling him down, which was correct. A few seconds before, one of theirs threw an elbow in front of 3 officials who were all about 10 yards away, but none of them saw it, so no cards, but we were awarded a free kick for an off the ball fowl. Er, how does that work?

Given that nobody is talking football, or talking owt on this thread, jjamez, it can't be your fault, I've observed that tonight's DJ in t'Plummet Line has a proper turntable with proper vinyl on it. He ain't spun what's on it yet but I thought it was only me that owned a relic from when the dinosaurs walked the earth

Apart from that, the DJ is a fat bastard wearing a grey Liverpool shirt. Is that racist or just a reasonable description? No he doesn't have a sun tan.

It's strange how he manages to get up from these vicious attacks, let alone go on to score a goal. Could it possibly be that he's exaggerating?  Dodgy

What DJ?

Anyway, forget Zaha. As DW said, today's performance was our best so far this season. I'm not worried about the lack of goals because our luck will change if we keep up this level. Today was a lot like the Swansea game last season when we battered them and couldn't break through.
I thought Billing was fantastic. His best game in a Town shirt. Hadergonads, Mooy, Lowe and VLP all pushing him for man of the match. Alarming though is another poor performance from the heroic Schindler. His passing was awful at times and his wayward one to Zanka that Zaha intercepted could've ended worse than it did.
As for the subs. Not impressed yet with the two new lads, but ten minute cameos aren't the best way to show what you can do. I thought Pritchard ought to have come on myself. Surprised he isn't starting actually.
And I know he wasn't fit today but we need big Coll back. He looks clumsy and he can't head a ball, but he's a a game changer. Something we seem lacking late on.

Has anybody counted just how many meaningful saves their keeper had to make yesterday? You won't need the majority of the fingers on one hand guaranteed. We offer next to no threat. We have not improved from last season. I fear (accept) the worst come the seasons end!  Doh

Seen the replay now. Unbiased verdict. Zanka yellow. Zaha RED!
That was an absolutely disgusting, studs up, leg breaker. If he'd connected properly, as he obviously intended to, Hadergonads would've been in using crutches now..
Zaha shouldn't have been on the pitch to score that wonder goal. Angry

And whether he caught him or not, the intention was there. It was violent conduct. Retaliating because he thought he'd been wronged.

Watching Everton just now reminded me that Wayne Rooney got sent off for the same thing as Zaha got away with yesterday, last season.
