LAST MATCH

We won our first game of the season as we progressed into round 2 of the Carabao Cup. A mix of first teamers and youngsters made up the squad and despite a poor first half showing led through a Matias strike. An improved performance in the 2nd half and we grabbed a second from a Reach header from Bannan's pinpoint cross. It was good to see the youngsters get some game time, thought Kirby, Penney & Nielsen did ok.

THE MATCH

We face our toughest test of the season as we head south to play Brentford. Brentford have started well with a win at home v Rotherham & a credible draw at Stoke. They also won in the cup at Southend. While not having any standout players they always seem to produce good attacking football and have scored 10 goals already this season although 9 of them have come against Rotherham & Southend.

Id like to see 3 upfront or at least a 3-4-1-2 waste of time playing minge so why not ? its not like we wont get overun in midfield with him in it anyway Whistle Weve got to score goals simple as defending with lees in the back 3 is also a waste of time Whistle

Cheers, Kev.

Back down to earth with a thump for this one. I can't see a win. Our tactics of crabbing and running backwards away from players will cost us points all season. Shite tactics.
