Everton in for Kieron Tierney with £25M!?

This is a curious move by Marco di Silva for a player who will eventually be Celtic's future team captain with all the attributes to succeed and a Celtic fan 'to boot'! Will Celtic 'move him on' for such a tempting offer? He is 'happy as Larry' and I'm sure he's fairly settled living in Glesca anyway but this could be a massive offer - hard to resist!

Celtic don't need the money, well not to be able to compete domestically, so from that perspective they don't need to sell him now. If they want to strengthen the squad for the CL, then this money would be useful for sure. What is his contract situation, because if he is out of contract in the next year then they should take this offer, if it runs for a couple of years they could also wait, get another good season under his belt and then sell for even more assuming his stock continues to rise.

Not a straight forward decision for Celtic on this one!!!

Well his current contract is a 5 year one! No rush because he's gonna get better as he gets older and he is definitely gonna pick up lotsa Scotland caps.

If thats the case I wouldn't sell him yet. Everton are a work in progress, if he is as good as some of the reports then he could possibly interest the top 6 in the next couple of years.

Everton fans seem pretty confident this is happening.

Celtic don't seem to be the kind of club that stands in the way of their best players moving on, indeed it seems part of the model. Everton bid that then celtic will say ok and tell tierney he can go if he wants.

From the young lads perspective he could nearly triple his wage in england and thats a lot of money to knock back in a short career. Also in scotland particularly he's far more likely to pick up a career threatening injury.

He might be a fan but the days of players staying at one club forever are gone, that went when sky signed a mega deal with the EPL.

The injury threat is the big thing that would frighten me most of all and it could threaten a very good career. It`s a gamble but I think Celtic should look at the amount of transfer fee that`s being banded about. It`s one of these "damned if you do" "damned if you don`t" situations.
