Boatang should have been red carded and Sweden awarded a penalty in the 1st half but both referee and VAR bottled it because Germany are a "BIG team". DD Angry Angry

Nothing different there then ..... FA been running that rule for years ........ VAR here will be just the same ... it's only as good, as independent as the people running it ... we're doomed, we're doomed ....

Same old same old ......... fifa dislike England ...... no VAR decisions in our favour
Fifa love Germany ...... VAR decisions favour them

Boateng should have been sent off in that first half but at least the referee got it right in the second half. Now Germany are two centre backs down with Boateng suspended and Hummels injured. They’re now left with Rudiger and the man mountain Süle.

Whilst England are playing today, I’m more interested in how Group H is going to pan out later. Japan vs Senegal and Poland vs Colombia. Given that Colombia are one of my teams for the tournament, I hope they beat Poland tonight. If they can win the group then they could end up facing England.
2-0 England.

I’m liking the unbiased commentary(!) Doh

It’s a good win and performance but we shouldn’t get too ahead of ourselves just yet.

Belgium will be the real test of this squad next week.

Not sure the Belgium game will tell us much at all as I can see both sides playing a few squad players instead of the first team.

good to see England playing a lone striker in Kane
Sterling......AWOL again
good performance
but Sterling surely can`t keep his place......

So Japan and Senegal drew 2-2. That opens the group up for Colombia and Poland to get back into contention for progression.

Vamos Colombia.
