Over the park we used to have Running-goalies if there was (say) 5 against 6.
I can see Ben Foster in that role if we get a player sent off. One of the Linesmen could cover the goal when Ben gets up the field.

Where are all the transfers?????? .....window opened early, it's closing early, no-one in, no-one out ......... YET!

I know the FIFA corrupt cup starts soon but that goes on until late July ...... won't leave much time to rebuild and we have a lot of rebuilding to do .....

....how about just putting the coats - sorry, goalposts - nearer to each other to make the goal smaller

Oh the memories ..... done all that ..... running goalies, makeshift goalposts, goal (multiple goal) headstarts, best players changing teams at half time, next goal wins .... played til well after dark to get a winner ... perhaps the FA should try it .. not golden goal but next goal wins .... whether it takes five minutes or two hours it has to be a goal not a penalty shootout ..... Although some of our games last year could have gone on for weeks without a goal....... trying to get home after a game finishes at 2 am could be an issue though.

I’m sure Big Dave and Terraneo have some signings lined up. Big Dave said before that he wants to get his coaching staff sorted and then talk to each player individually. That was a week or so ago but after talking to the players he’ll know who wants to stay and who wants to go. He can then discuss with Terraneo replacements for those players.

New season starts in mid-August so there’s over 2 months until then. I’d expect us to start making the majority of our signings in July ready for the final training camp and the main pre-season friendlies.

Let's hope that Sam Field follows Leko and signs a new contract. His current contract expires this month.

I don't think Field could get any better than us, yes he shows a lot of promise, but he is still a way off the finished article. With us he will get games, I can't see any Prem team offering him first team quite yet, well maybe the dingles.
