Lenny considering his position at ER?
#1
Am I reading too much into Neil's post match comments tonight? 4th place not good enough for this Hibs team says Neil and I agree but I'd refer to some colossal ref decisions that have done us, the most recent was on Sat at Pittodrie - a last min stonewall pk denied Hibs again! Is Hibs FC board not impressing him enough with their projected support. He is a winner and we don't wanna lose him!

He has very high standards, maybe he shouldn't be so hard on himself and the team once in a while. Finishing 4th isn't bad at all.

A hibs team challenging for Europe and winning trophies is very achievable under him. But he got it massively wrong last night and should have held his hand up. His outburst afterwards was embarrassing.

I think there will be a huge Hibs fans' response on Sunday backing Neil Lennon 'to the hilt'. Could it be that he sees a loss of McGeouch and McGinn coming up and what we've seen this season is the best that he can achieve? Just a thought re the motive behind his comments! He 'wears his heart on his sleeve' TBF and that will never change! Also agreed he definitely 'got it wrong' last night v IMO a very poor Hearts team - big Marv should've been used for starters and his set up 'from the off' was not right! Why did he play Whittaker?

Spot on. From the chat last night the hibs fans I know are all willing to put up with that, its his only real flaw. I don't think we will get the chance to have too many better managers than him.

So Lenny disnae 'show up' at today's media conference with Garry Parker deputising, Garry saying Lenny's 'doon wi the flu'! Is this a case of Neil 'sticking up two fingers' to the press and particularly the usual Rangers 'suspects' who wanna 'stir it up' before Sunday's match? I wonder!

'100% staying at easter road next season' straight from the horses mouth.

Interesting his comment that we actually had more funds to spend last window but we didn't use them, as lenny thought the squad was 'just right'.

We will see after the cup final what our budget is and then its time to 'crack on'.

Lenny facing another ban after being sent off for his aeroplane celebration. However, a lotta folk conveniently missing out the offensive sectarian shit chanted by the Ibronx 'scum' against Neil yesterday. Also noticeable it was Bobby Madden who sent Lenny to the West Stand - what was wrong Bobby? A yellow card offence that you converted into a red one because it didnae suit ur lodge agenda!!!!???

Speaks volumes that the vile personal and sectarian abuse lenny was being subjected to throughout the game is is "brushed over" like its ok, while a daft wee goal celebration that was nowhere near the hun support is liable for sanction.

They hate lennon because he doesn't just silently put up with that pish and they cannae take that.

Absolutely right Jim! It's the reticence and hypocrisy re this whole sectarian issue that I find particularly offensive and I wish the authorities would consistently expose this behaviour, and it's association with this particular footie club, and keep highlighting it for what it is!!! We play lotsa footie clubs at ER during the course of a season and the main offender is by far this Govan club and it's fans.

Looking at a mobile phone video that was texted to me of Lenny at a pub close to Embro city centre and 'letting his hair down' with Garry Parker, having a few beers with other Hibs fans and repeating his 'aeroplane celebration' on cue with 5th Hibs goal on the pub tv to the cheers of the fans - priceless! His quote of the weekend was, "I'm just a bad loser, not leaving Hibs"! I can empathise with that sentiment.
