Most managers these days like to bring in their own staff, and with DM doing a spectacular job, maybe they're looking for someone who would be happy to have DM as their assistant instead of bringing their own?

John Percy so must be true ..
Just hope it's Smith and not Appy ,
Don't be underwhelmed by smith got Walsall to the playoffs look at them now, Brentford went toe to toe with Fulham the other week, Fulham by far the best footballing team in the league and they nearly beat them and just missed out on the playoffs.

Young and new ideas is what we all want don't we ?

Any Manager/Head Coach worth his money will want to bring in his own Assistant and I think the club will allow that whilst also wanting Big Dave to be kept on as First Team Coach.

If it is up to Dean Smith and Michael Appleton then I hope Dean Smith gets it. Out of the two he is the better suited to conducting the rebuild of playing staff and bring in a fresh style of play revolved around possession football mixed with fast, incisive play.

With Appleton, I think if he hadn’t played for the club and worked with RDM and Hodgson then he wouldn’t be considered. I personally think he is better as a number 2 at this level rather than as number 1.

Need to watch the reaction at Bristol City after the games today
Rumour on twitter that a journo Alan Nixon has just tweeted it's going to be Gary Johnson, can't find it's personally but it's on westbrom .com
This is only a rumour !! Thumb up

Not sure I can think of ANYONE to trust with our club. All these laudable suggestions come with no guarantee of success whatsoever. Who would have thought that a bloke like Moore could step and so comprehensively outperform 2 experienced managers. His secret appears to be a personable disposition and a passion for WBA that he has communicated to the players.  They are playing without fear and to the levels we expected from them, at the start of the season
I hope he can be persuaded to carry on in the role but maybe he foresees the problems ahead.
Livermore talks of there being a lot of love in the club and for the club. I would love to think this were true. If so, could we dare to hope that Gibbs, Livermore and Dawson might stay with us and get us out the mess that they helped to put us in. The alternative, that we lose about 7 or 8 class players would make a quick recovery an unsurmountable task.

Losing 3-0 at home to the Blunts at HT is probably not the reaction anyone was looking for!!!

I think it rarely works, but Big Dave has done such a fantastic job I'd like to see him get the job alongside someone - this Dean Smith maybe?  - as joint managers.
Isn't he a local bloke too?
Galvanising the club isn't /won't be achieved overnight although BD has done wonders in that direction. Marry him, and what he's achieved with another guy with a little more experience but still a lot to prove, and.....well,  could it work? ?

After the last few performances by Cheltenham Town there must be quite  a few Cheltenham supporters who would personally drive Gary to the shrine; if you really want him.

Just make sure you buy a much bigger swear box as every fourth word is the F word; and that's on a good day!!
Doh
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.
