Hibs v Killie, Sat 28 April, KO 3.00pm
#1
Killie next at ER and Lenny's instructions must be clear and simple - keep it going and win again! Killie humbled by the Dons in their last match and also hit by injuries. Scotty Allan  returning to Hibs squad but will he get a game? Hibs legions filling up ER 'to the gunnels' to enjoy and savour this Hibs team! Lets hope for Sunshine on Leith again! Smile

FT and 5-3 in a 'thriller' of a match, IMO the 'match of the season! Thumb up Scotty in the starting line up and he obliged and scored the 1st goal! After that goal it was 'thrill a minute time', what a game! Killie contributing greatly to make this game a real spectacle for the huge crowd at ER and Barker's breakaway final goal was the 'icing on the cake' Hibs absolutely 'on a roll' and nowt can stop us if this good form continues.

Got to love a 5-3 scoreline!! Its like going back to the 50s and 60s!!!

Great win, keeps the pressure on the other two teams!! Question, if Celtic win the cup does that Euro spot transfer to the league place? If so will 2nd to 4th go into the Europa league?

Yep SCO. Your assumption is correct and a Motherwell victory in the Scot Cup final would scupper the 4th placed Euro spot.

It was certainly a thriller for my first visit to Easter Road in 2018. Definitely not for the faint-hearted. Both defences were below par, but 0762 is right that Killie played their part. How on earth the Hibs defence continually allowed Kris Boyd the freedom of the penalty box, I'll never know. Late on he had a free header and put it straight at Marciano! Mind you the old pie-scoffer was running out of steam by then - a brilliant free-kick, though.

Hibs were slack and lacking in incisiveness for long periods, but did show plenty of character and spirit. Too many players nowhere near their best today for my liking. Let's hope they put this performance behind them and get fired up for next Saturday. Imagine, a below-par show and we still won 5-3!

Yeah, didn't think we were as good as we were v celtic. Defensively we were ropey the day but in an attacking sense we had some good spells. That said it was a cracking game and kilmarnock were again impressive especially out wide. That free kick boyd scored was amazing. This hibs team is providing some real entertainment along the way, 8 goals and loads of talking points in the pub afterwards - what mair do you want ?

The difference now is that hibs have quality, game winning players at our disposal, and an incredible will to win. Mcginn really drove us on today.

Next up a trip to pittodrie - not the happiest of hunting grounds for us but the tie should hold no fear for these players.

If the best team in the land couldn't live with us last week a repeat of that performance will get us at least a point against the Dons . I would happily take a draw and move on.
