Evening everybody, some improved scores this week, no minus scores, one outright winner and the rest apart from one or two all seemed to have scored averagely well,
Maybe the fixtures were a little easy something I must rectify for next week as Sundays fixtures this week seemed a bit of a GIMME

So the two names at the top are not regulars up there by any means, Congratulations this week to our winner Matt who was the outstanding performer with a impressive 21 Points, Matt has really improved as the season has gone on.
World class only got a couple of predictions wrong and even with a incorrect Gamball scored a impressive 15 points in the runners up spot.
Twerton came in third spot with a good solid 13 Points following a couple of topsy turvy Weeks, closely followed by BBB in 4th spot with again a solid 12 points.
5th and 6th places are taken by the two challenging at the top, Just a point swing in Zinman's favour this week who was saved in no uncertain terms with his Gamball, get this wrong and he would have been Bottom this week !!!, Zinman scored 11 points while DD must feel the gods are against him as he scored a better score and result yet finished that point below Zinman with 10 points.
In 7th place was St Charles who seems to be well and truly "on the beach" with 9 points, In 8th was Joker again just muddling about in the middle to bottom regions (he likes bottoms) are we actually going to see a good score from the Joker before the season's end? I doubt it !
Then the last three on the list are in the can't wait for the season to end bracket, Sanjay was 9th on 3 points Amelia in 10th with 2 points, and Derby bringing up the rear in last and 11th spot , also scoring two points.
Two weeks to go and it's the last games in the Championship on Sunday with two teams going for automatic promotion, Cardiff and Fulham, so both must win and both will be games in week 34 !!
See you then Beefy

Zinman remains the one to catch, leading the way and extending his lead by another point to 8, with a mere 20 matches to predict before the close of the season. We all know how swings in points can turn the table on its head, he can still be overhauled by the next four predictors but time is fast running out it they're going to make a move.
DD stays in 2nd and could be the one to pose the biggest threat having been in the top two for 29 of the 33 weeks played. BBB up a place to 3rd at the expense of Sanjay in 4th and St Charles in 5th all stay in the hunt and the winner will come from those 5 as they’re covered by 41 points from 1st down to 5th. This time next week we’ll probably be able to narrow it down to 2 or 3 going into the last week. Who those 2 or 3 are remains to be seen

Worldclass climbs a place into 6th as Derby drops to 7th and within sight of Matt our top scorer of the week in 8th.
Amelia in 9th will be grateful for her early season points and will be hoping she has enough points in the bag to stave off any threat from the bottom 2 who swap places again this week with Twerton 10th , topping the 100 point mark and Joker 11th, passing 100 correct predictions for the season, but with just 21 points covering the bottom 3, the last two weeks will tell us who’s for the drop and who will retain their Premiership status for next season

33 weeks gone, 2 to go and still eight of our players with something left to fight for whether that’s glory or simply survival

Bomber
Quite a spread of scoring this week. Most players chose to take advantage of Beefy's generosity in picking 2 banker games with 7 participants choosing one of these for their bonuses, though only Snooty picked up a maximum. Stairs and Quantum both ignored the free gift and both lost out - not the only bad decision of Quantum's weekend as he was also one of 3 players to pick a Southampton win, but sadly chose not to play the gamball

So on to the week's scores and just for a change I'll start from the bottom. Stairs holds up the rest this week with his second consecutive minus score though given his mid table isolation, I don't suppose it'll bother him too much. More damaged by this week's performance is our other Minusman, Bomber, seeing his promotion dream disappear faster than a plate of chips in front of Beefy.
Creeping just into positive territory with 2 points is Baggieone, his recent charge up the table coming to a grinding halt. Vic had one of his better weeks hitting the dizzy heights of 5 points and probably regretting not playing his random number score on the Cheltenham game. Another one declining to use the gamball, at least in his case the decision was wise. A respectable score of 9 points for our long time league leaders 4eva and Snooty, the latter helped by his maximum bonus ball, but is that enough at this stage of the season?
And so to the top 3, all of whom got the gamball result correct. In third place is Quantum who might be disappointed with just 12 points after getting 7 correct results. He was let down by a poor use of his balls - no gamball, insurance on a correct score and a wrong result on his bonus -I'm sure there's some cure available.2nd place goes to Salop - only 5 correct results but perfect ball play.
And finally to this week's table topper.....oh, I've just realised I need to run and stuff some chillies so just to say, this week's table topper is Beefy (in case you hadn't noticed).
Zin
Chest out and shouting it from the rooftops is how Beefy reacted to surely wrapping up one of the promotion places and probably taking the Championship title at the same time. A record week for the second time in 3 weeks saw him open up what looks a pretty unassailable lead of 23 points at the top. Surely that’s enough of a lead to protect in the next 2 weeks of fixtures

Snooty in 2nd wasn’t able to live with that and probably now has to try and secure his 2nd spot by fending off those below rather than chasing that top spot. Like a few others he will be ruing the Palace keeper for that save after 94 minutes that cost him his Gamball, had it gone in we’d probably be conceding promotion to him this week – and I’d bet it would have been taken in a more humble manner than it’s turned out to be

Far from out of the promotion race and still in the hunt for that remaining place are the chasers in the form of 4eva in 3rd who climbs a place this week and will look to do the same next, and BaggiOne in 4th who wasn’t able to continue his hot streak of recent weeks but with just 26 points covering 2nd to 4th anyone from the three can confirm their elevation into the Premiership over the next couple of weeks.
Bomber in 5th, virtually reduced the 5 still in contention down to 4 as a poor week left him 36 points away from 2nd and the one remaining promotion spot.
(I’ve had enough of reporting my progress in the third person, and although not losing any places in the table am almost resigned to spending another season in the Championship, wishing the 2 leaving us for the “promised land” all the best for their futures, while waiting with open arms to welcome the 2 who will join us next season, helping to restore any confidence they may have lost and making them part of the Championship family)

Back into third person, and I can now see why others think that Bomber chap is such a likeable sort. With 2 weeks left I’ll reconsider his position and say that nothing less than 2 cracking scores and he can still get back into the promotion mix. It’s possible, but only just. Good luck Bomber

Salop in 6th enjoyed a cracking week in terms of a points swing of 16 with Stairs in 7th as they continue to battle it out for table position and pride.
Quantum in 8th also continues to push for points right to the end of the season and refuses to allow Vicar in 9th to get within touching distance of passing over the unwanted wooden spoon
