Preparing for championship football ....... here's hoping it's a short stay ....... as I have said many times hate the greed league but to try and win anything worthwhile you need the money and the draw of premier league football to sign the players ....... hating being in it, as like most clubs it becomes more about staying in it rather than trying to compete, but to grow its about pounds, shillings and pence, younger viewers ask your grandparents, and media exposure. A necessary evil .......

To be fair looking at our football this year I don't see anything technical in it so him going isn't a great lose, in fact his whole role is more an issue of a breach of trade descriptions ..... can we call in trading standards.

Their gonna be busy at the Albion.... Hammond, Sturridge, Chadli, Pardew, Pulis ...... the term football players .... not much football played

I would like us to look at Klaus Allofs as his replacement. He was Director of Football at Werder Bremen from 1999 to 2012 where he and Thomas Schaaf oversaw the building up of Werder Bremen from a regular Bundesliga team into Bundesliga Champions and Champions League and Europa League regular. He then went to Wolfsburg in 2012 to do the same job and again oversaw another mid table team transform into a top side who finished as runners-up in the league and played in the Champions League. He left at the end of 2016 after a downturn in fortunes for the club.

My dream is he brings Hannes Wolf (Jens Keller won’t leave Germany because of his young family) with him as Head Coach and they together sign Lasse Sobiech, Kevin Stöger and Marvin Ducksch.

I think Pulis has a awful lot to answer for
According to Hammond, Pulis rejected names from him choosing his own players, !!

"Hammond would bring a list of targets to Pulis. The Welshman would invariably turn his nose up or favour players he had proposed."

Hammond packing his desk only Richard Garlick to weed out now.
I can't see Ashworth leaving the FA to return to us unless he was offered a kings ransom.
I don't understand as why 100 people couldn't do a good job as DOF - we tend to be very
limited on who we consider to be suitable candidates. Same on the manager/coach position
it appears only half a dozen people are suitable, in reality again must be 100's. We appear to
only comfortable with what we know, most of our preferred choices have never won anything
or achieved anything to shout about.

Guiliano Terraneo has been brought in as a Technical Consultant for the next six months.

Very interesting appointment. Will find a new Head Coach and then a new Sporting Director. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a big name Foreign Coach brought in. Someone with a track record of success and rebuilding a squad. Like Wolves with Nuno Espirito Santo

He has a very impressive CV especially with his work at Monza, Lazio and Inter Milan. He even almost became Barcelona Sporting Director.
