IMHO he'd be fantastic - spiffing, even - for 1 or hopefully 2 years  Thumb up  Thumb up

The club hierarchy seemingly have a hard-on for Appleton so they could do Scolari as Head Coach with Michael Appleton as his assistant to eventually take over when Scolari eventually leaves/retires. I think that would be similar to what the club planned when Roy Hodgson was in charge but Appleton left for Oxford.

Personally I’m a bit wary of rumours like this with the rise of fake news sources. I’d personally be chuffed if we could entice Scolari but I’m also taking the link with a little pinch of salt especially like Zinman said, he could be talking about Southampton.

Yep think so,
However he mentions the club are more than likely already relegated,
Don't think Southampton are in that position yet Whistle

Saying that I cant believe he would come here ........
Would he ?

Why not Scolari he has done well over in China - maybe Lai knows him already?
May know a few young stars from Brazil who we could sign.
Bring in lets say Potter as his No2 - best of both worlds

Would Scolari really take a job in the Championship? He has managed at the top of the prem before, surely there are teams in the prem that would give him a shot before he would need to drop a level to somewhere he knows nothing about!!

I don't know how to post Videos off twitter but what he said is 100% true whether it's with us is another question,
But the words will probably be in the championship certainly means he has been offered something by somebody,
Lai is from China and that's where Scolari is managing at the moment,
From this his odds are tumbling in the betting market of becoming our next head coach,

I still can't see personally Rolleyes

Scolari was in China from June 2015 to November 2017 and won three straight league titles. That must have got the attention from our owner if we are the club that he was talking about.

I still can’t see it happening myself because it sounds to good to be true but I’d love to see it especially if he could bring some young Brazilians with him and use Big Dave as his assistant. Big Dave would learn a lot from him.

If we had a lot of Brazilians wouldn't we be a bit narrow with nothing down both sides Whistle Whistle Whistle

This is what Scolari actually said so people can draw their own opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of the conversation:

“I like [the Premier League] so much. I always look [at the Premier League] when I’m in the media world, because I love the Premier League, and maybe next year I am in the Premier League,” he told Omnisport . “No, sorry, the second division [Championship]. I have offers and I try to understand what they want. “This is my situation at the moment, because I say to my family; ‘three months I stay Brazil – January, February, March.’ In April, maybe I go outside [Brazil] again. “And I have an offer from the second division in England. They are in the Premier League now, but I think that they go down to the second division. “And in the second division, if you have a project for two years, [that’s] OK, if not then I stay outside.

“Maybe I accept, because I have offers in the United Arab Emirates and China – I need to think. But England is fantastic.” “It’s not a problem if it’s first or second division, because the second division in England is maybe the [level of] first divisions in 45 other countries. “It’s not a problem. If the project is correct for the coach, it’s not a problem.”
