I disagree jasog. I go back a few weeks to the swansea game, we could have been 3 or 4 up there, but didn't and swansea didn't deserve to lose.

Yesterday Newcastle had a few chances in the first half and didn't take them. Second half we was resolute but neither side looked quality and it was scrappy. Neither side deserved to win, neither did enough, both were too tense

Hmmm.......3 or 4 up v Swansea. Naah not 'avin it!. Playing against 10 for 80 mins with only 2 near misses made Swansea well worth a draw that day. True they didn't deserve any more than that. But they showed, with 10, what we can't do with 11. It's been proven numerous times this season.

However, all is not lost yet. Our "Get Out Of Jail Free" card is called "Southampton"! If they get nothing from their game in hand, I'm convinced 3 more points will see us scrape to safety!  Thumb up

Exactly jjamez. Totally agree. Looking at who Southampton have left. A bit like us, they have two fixtures, Bournemouth and Everton which they will probably view as their last chance saloon. Barring Leicester, the rest are top six. But we are 3pts to the good, though they do have a game in hand. All to play for. 36pts will keep us up I'm sure of it!

I cant believe Lossl isnt getting slated for his flap and attemept to pat in down and hope to gather in the cross that fell to Kennedy to square it back for Perez to slot in. Up to that point with a slightly improved 2nd half showing I thought we might ride it out and sneak a point.

Sadly we didnt show enough, Mooy just isn't firing and creating anything, LDP on his own did what he could Pritchard seemed to have 2-3 defenders around him on the few occasions he had it.

The 3000 support stayed with the team, 7 flights of stairs had sobered many up by the time they took their seats, from our position the home support were subdued but on MOTD it sounded bouncing - strange.

We do however look a millions miles from the team that crashed out of the blocks in August and I cant even see where the next single point is coming from never mind 3, I even doubt we can get anything at Brighton in this vein of form.

We cant just sit and hope the others below us lose as well and at the moment Waggers is talking a lot of spin / crap and not delivering.
Our performances are full of costly silly mistakes, not taking our half chances and setting up not to concede a recipe for disaster.
How was Smith starting yesterday over Flo , his back pass to Lossl roundly booed and he apologised to the rest of the team & bench but that's his whole lack of confidence attitude this term, a job just too big for the man

Front foot, hussle and bustle and dont forget to shoot that's what we need for 4 of the final 6 games at least.

Would love to sit in a room with him on a truth drug. Forget the spin. Forget the man management. Forget the politically correct. Tell us what you think David. But shhhhhhhh........don't let the players hear!  Big Grin

I've seen and read people slating Lössl for his flap yesterday. The match common taters on the feed I watched on t'other side o't'pond chirped in too. The rest of the defence standing ball watching didn't help him much. I've also seen two goals go in at Stamford Bridge so far this afternoon where the keeper has come for a cross and completely missed it for the first and for the other one the keeper decided to sit on his arse as the ball dipped under the bar right above him. All he had to do was stand up and catch it or at least push it over the bar. This from two of the supposed better goalies playing in Europe, let alone The Prima Donna League. Lössl would have been absolutely hammered for both of them.

Since we stuffed Bornmuff
Town @ Man Utd - 4 shots, 0 on target
Town @ Spurs - 3 shots, 3 on target
Town v Swansea - 30 shots, 4 on target
Town v Palace - 6 shots, 2 on target
Town @ Toon - 4 shots, 0 on target.
Points won, 1, goals scored, 0.
Lössl is the least of our problems. The other end of the pitch is where we win games, the Swansea game apart, we don't seem to know where that end of the pitch is.
A guide to cask ale.

Aye but we're playing just the same way as last season really, and running out of gas fast. The plan seems to be the same as before, set off fast and hope to have enough in the tank to crawl over the line.

And as for Lossl, don't see any problem at all. In my opinion he's the best keeper we've had in years. Much better than legends Alex Smithies and Danny Ward.
