Having seen that challenge between Hogg and Ayew numerous times, I think it should have been 2 red cards. Obviously I'm glad it wasn't, but Hogg did launch himself in the air with both sets of studs showing. He came off worse in the challenge, but the intent was there from Hogg.
As for the game, how many times did we see crosses coming in and their 3 defenders heading them away no problem.
It can be hard to break down all 10 men behind the ball....but we should try something different sometimes.

Hogg was a lucky boy not to be sent off as well. I said that straight away and got abuse from those around me but replays show he definitely should have seen red. I think had the game stayed 11 v 11 we'd have won, we started well but we were awful once it became 11 v 10. No real tempo, never made them alter their shape or pulled them out of their rigid 2 defensive lines, just passed the ball back and forth in front of them before aimlessly knocking balls into their box when they had 6 players up against Mounie. The other results went for us but I really hope the 2 points dropped don't come back to haunt as it would be pretty hard to deal with seeing as we never really took the gamble that was so obviously needed. Even if we'd have given the ball away in trying to force the issue they had no intention of countering so there was literally nothing to lose.

On the face of it I wasn't too disappointed, the lads tried the best but we just lack that bit of extra quality when we needed it the most. Given all of the other results this week it is a point gained and the gap widens to 4 points between us and PalArse.
Another massive game this weekend that first and foremost is must not lose

St Chazza, and that is why Wagner is in charge of the team and not me...well that and many many other reasons.
For me if we go for it and end up losing we are right back in the mire.
If we draw we will still be 4 points in front of PalArse, at worst 2 in front of Stoke and at best 5 and with Southampton not playing 4 points in front of them
We all know it's as tight as a Nuns doo da and we all know our last 4 games on paper are tough to near on impossible to get anything but we have to remember that that those teams below us are in that position for a reason.
West Brom..as good as gone
Stoke and Palarse...6 wins from 30 games averaging 0.90pts a game
Southampton...1 win in 17...5 wins all season.
Are we suddenly expecting all these teams to play like world beaters?
