Another low scoring week with one or two exceptions,
Generally if you got the Huddersfield Gamball correct you came out on top.
Yet if you got it wrong you felt down in the dumps for more than one reason,
Another poor week in the prediction league and another nail in the coffin for Albion,
A surprising name at the top this week given the last few weeks but congratulations to Derby who had a really good week 7 correct scores or results a correct Insurance means he lost very few points on the way to 19 points,
Runner up was our lady Amelia who obviously went for the Huddersfield win, but whereas with us lot wear our heart rules our head she obviously had a bit more Savvy on the way to scoring a decent 13 Points,
BBB was the other to sneak into double figures, but only as his BB and GB came home another close call from being a good week to a bad week. BBB scored 11 points,
St Charles at last as something to hoot about after weeks of really low scores he managed 9 points this week, yes not a huge score but a step in the right direction,
Twerton, Matt and WorldClass all come home in mid table with 6 points, Matt was scheduled to have a bonus of 20 points making him originally top on 26 points but after Bomber and Zinman threatened legal action through FIFA I decided against this as I did not want to bring our League into disrepute#ThankGodForBeefy
DD's woes continue with another low score, DD came in with just 3 points in 8th place, this however surprisingly cut the lead at the top of the table, so maybe all is not lost just yet ?
Joker and Sanjay score just a single point in 9th and 10th, Just where does Joker go from here
No minus men this week but at the bottom with a great big fat Zero is our leader Zinman,His luck must have run out at last and his balls look like they deserted him, But to be fair to Zinman he has been on a great run of late that as seen him hit the top, Question is as he gone top to soon?
Is he feeling pressure now he is at the summit? Questions that will be answered very soon, unlike Albion's impending relegation
After taking over at the summit last week Zinman had his lead immediately reduced he failed to add to his tally for the first time in 5 weeks which included a rare Bonus Ball failure –only number 8 of the season. DD, only 3 points back in 2nd ensured the fight for the title is far from over.
St Charles returned to the top 3 after a couple of weeks away and is only 22 points off the top after being 31 down last week. His rise sees Sanjay dropping to 4th, however he did take the honour of being the first Premiership player to hit 100 correct result predictions for the season so far.
BBB makes up the top 5, second only to Zin in the Bonus Ball successes league, only a point back and as we head into the last 1/3 of the season, there’s less than 30 points from top to 5th.
Derby by virtue of a seasons best weekly score heads on back up the table into 6th and also becomes the latest member of the 100 point club, where he’s quickly joined by Amelia who also reaches that milestone, but did drop a place into 7th this week.
Worldclass still sits in perfect isolation in 8th, looking in no immediate danger of either climbing or dropping in the league.
Matthew West Bromwich Albion (we’re still not friends)
hauled himself out of the bottom 2 again into 9th thanks to his Bonus at the expense of Joker who drops into 10th – these 2 seem to swap places on a weekly basis.Still at the bottom but by no means adrift like the Baggies
is Twerton, but with only 4 points between them it’s anyone’s guess who’s destined for the drop.Bomber
Well at least we all know that there'll be one predictable result this weekend (and I'm not referring to Vic's familiar league position). A full set of gamballs played this week and only 3 winners - several bonus balls went awry as well (that'll teach you to copy, Beefy), mainly due to United's failure to turn up, unlike United (sorry, but it really p*sses me off when Manchester Utd are just referred to as United when they're playing another team called United). Rant over.
Another great week for Lord Snooty - Huddersfield win and he easily gets the week's best score, surely securing promotion. 7 correct results, an 8 point gamball, a correct bonus result and good use of the insurance ball gives him an 8 point gap to Baggieone who was the only other correct gamball predictor. Third place goes to Salop who managed a score of 12 points despite only getting 3 results right - it helps when these include the gamball and a correct score prediction on the bonus - great ball skills!
Another 8 point gap to the rest - the gamball losers. Quantum, 4eva and Bomber just manage to crawl into positive figures and Stairs fails to trouble the scorers. Just the 2 minusmen this week. It gives me no pleasure.....well not much.....ok, it gives me great pleasure to reveal Beefy on minus 2 this week, his charge to promotion seemingly coming to a grinding halt, but he's kept off the bottom of this week's table by Vic who must surely be looking at applying for re-election at the end of the season without some divine intervention.
Zin
Mid table position swapping was the order of week 23, while the top 3 remained “as you were”, although Snooty appears to have headed off into the distance in the race for the title and 1 of the much sought after promotion places as he turned what was already a healthy lead into what could be an unassailable 42 point lead. Add to that the honour of being the first Championship player to pass the 100 correct results for the season
and along with the Terriers showing their teeth and fight, it’s turned into a very, very good week.Bomber holds on to 2nd over 4eva in 3rd just 4 points separating them for what looks like only 1 promotion place still up for grabs.
BaggieOne throws his hat back into the ring with a good week that takes him up a place into 4th at the expense of Beefy who drops a spot into 5th. Like the Albion there’s still plenty of games and points up for grabs
, but who’s going to make a push and challenge for one of those 2 places that will take them up into the “greed league” as only 12 points cover 2nd down to 5th.Not so far back in 6th is Salop who climbs a place this week enjoying quite a run of form at the moment which has seen him almost double his seasons tally in the last 4 weeks.
Stairs makes way dropping into 7th, while Quantum although some way back in 8th sits comfortably clear of the wooden spoon place at the bottom which Vicar seems to have a very firm hold of, 21 points adrift at the bottom
