Rangers v Hibs, Sat 3 Feb, KO 3.00pm

Another 'testy fixture' coming up at Ibronx tomorrow and I am a wee bit concerned re the forced change to our defence. Darren Mac definitely our best defender and very unfortunate to lose him for this match! But Hibs will just have to adjust and 'get on with it'. Slivka also injured and I wonder if Scotty Allan will be in the starting line up although I 'd rather opt for an 'element of physicality' in our midfield and maybe use him later on as an 'impact sub'. It will also be interesting to see how Kamberi fares v the Gers' defence. We can definitely beat this Rangers team but we must beware of a goal threat from Jason - the usual coincidental goal in his 1st game v Hibs - try to focus and avoid this scenario at all cost! And their £8M overrated striker (Daily Record 'spin' via pish uttered by Traynor!!???) Morelos will require to be 'well policed' in order to nullify his 'goal threat'. We must 'grab this match with conviction' and that must be done in our midfield area and see how the game unfolds - hopefully in our favour.

Wouldn't say this is a must win game for your aspirations of a top 3 finish, but its not far off!!  Win and you are 2 points behind them, lose and it goes up to 8 and possibly 11 with their game in hand!!  Good luck!! Thumb up

An excellent first half, from a defensively weakened hibs side. We have bossed it.

Efe is having a fine game and we look dangerous every time we go up the park. 0-1 at the interval.

What a great result and not really a surprise to anyone who has seen our performances over the last couple of months.
A similar result against Aberdeen will put us right back in the hunt for a European slot and our confidence will be high after today.

Lenny on bbc Sportsound rating this result tactically as high as his win over Barca with the Hoops all these years ago!! The manager deserves a good 'pat on the back' as well!! What a great quick-fire response right after that Gers' equaliser and we deserved that bit of luck with that Maclaren pk in off Foderingham's trailing leg!! Thumb up One word to summarise this great result - SWEET esp after their previous 0-1 'steal' v Hibs at ER! I'd also like to see a video rerun of Hibs disallowed goal which was reckoned to be a 'good goal' and onside! Still, no matter because we won! Thumb up

1st half is as good as we've played all season. Lennon definitely knows how to get a team to dig in and fight for him.

Lenny has used the transfer window to freshen us up and we have won 3 games since the cup defeat. My only worry would be that if LD really is a tip for the SFA gig then he might go.. That times interview last week showed how close the manager is with LD,and how much they respect each other.
