Of course, when we last won the cup in 1968, we beat Southampton in the 4th round. Having already now beaten Liverpool, am I getting ahead of myself in seeing omens?

And Birmingham City, our 1968 semi final opponents are still in it.

50 years on. A striker has scored in every round so far, just like ‘68. They’ve beaten Liverpool, just like 68. They will play Southampton the weekend of February 17th, just like ‘68. The manager is called Alan, just like ‘68.

Went to that semi-final game at St Andrew’s Silver. Think we might have won 3-1 Wasn’t Barry Bridges playing for them
