One of the ugliest towns in England.
Absolutely hammered us a few weeks ago. They are an example of non-league recruitment and academy development. Five of their squad are young lads they've brought through and they've considerable goal potential in former non-league players.
We need to win. We certainly need NOT to lose. I'd have liked us to come up with two more signings but we don't tend to offer our managers money with an eye to the club's future.
I've no idea how the game will go, but as a pessimist, in my head I'm saying 1-2 and praying I'm wrong.

It will show what we are made of. Most of the team were the same one beaten 5-0 so if they have any pride they will make sure we win. 5-00 isn't a score its the time we should know if we have the grit and determination to stay up. Lose this and I will be seriously worried. Anything less than a win by 2 clear goals will not be ideal. Our goal difference is pathetic and needs addressing starting today. I am hoping 3-0.
Its not as ugly as MK Dev but new towns of the 60-70's only ever competed for which designers could put the largest number of roundabouts in a square mile. MK and Telford win that one.

That was total utter shite. We might as well have just donated them 3 points and I could have sat in the pub all afternoon.
If Jack couldn't get them up for that one then we are seriously in the crap. We didn't pressure we didn't push, Dennis had one of his "why bother" days ( I hope Bradford weren't watching ) and the goal - just wait till you see it - will be all over the internet tonight as a funny.
It was like going back to the GC days, we pi55ed about with it at the back and I think our coaches must be thinking we are playing rugby and you cant make a forward pass, it was diabolical. The ref was shocking but it made little difference if we were still playing and they were in the changing room we would still be losing.
I said above we needed today and I believed it. We are seriously staring into the abyss.

I think whats happened is Jack has sacrificed flair for solidity with his signings and the result is less goals from open play either end .People were getting carried away with the last two results but last week we were fortunate to win and didnt really deserve it .I would have settled for 0-0 today considering the other results but another mistake by Rammers cost us .To be fair there was an element of bad luck about it because the rebound off the striker went straight towards an empty goal when it could have gone anywhere ,other than that he was good but we are in no position to allow him to learn his trade so the errors need to be cut out quickly.
It was a poor quality affair with little creativity , they were no better than us but will be very happy tonight just as we were last Saturday.
How anyone can say 2 goal O Grady is a better option than 15 goal Dennis needs their heads looking at ,O Grady was ok when he came on but he is very limited and again failed to find the target with the best chance of the match. All we do when OG is on the pitch is play the long ball up to his only strength which is the flick on . Dennis suffered from an awful lack of service due partly to Stevenage sitting back and packing the defence .
Im a clean sheets man and am glad we've stopped haemorraghing goals but we must continue to play on the front foot.

JL needs to combine the 2 elements together Blue and quick or else we've had it.
They were better than us, they scored and hit the post which is more than we managed in 90mins. They had a game plan and it worked on the ref and did a job on us. We just weren't at the races today. Believe me it pains me to say Stevenage were better than us but they just were, we were awfull.
CoG is a waste of a shirt but we desperately need somebody strong like Lavery to work some magic with Dennis. What I really don't understand is Dennis's half hearted jumping for headers and chasing down the keeper, I know he scored the winner last week but something's not right there.

Disagree Dancing ,I think 0-0 would have been a fair result we probably had more efforts than them but I agree it wasn't good and we need to get back to basics next week ,Jack needs to give them a rocket up the arse as we certainly didnt have the intensity he demands. They just set out to stifle us in the main and it worked.
Crawley are one of the in form teams in the league and Harry Kewell has finally got them firing after a poor start so this will not be an easy game .
As long as there are two teams below us at the end of the season thats what matters .

Blue, I don't remember their keeper having to make a save. We needed better than 0-0 and we should have battled today instead of sitting back and inviting them on all the time.

He tipped the free kick from Reed over but the best chance of the game imo was the free header from OG which if he had got on target would have gone in .

Further to this ,the stats on Official website show 13 efforts to 8 in our favour but we had only 3 on target to their 4 .
I cant remember 13 efforts but I know we weren't on the back foot inviting them to come on to us Dancing, we just weren't purposeful enough .

Blue, we were crap, wasteful and kept passing the ball across the midfield and back 4 which invites teams on. I don't care what the stats say they were better than us and they won.
I honestly don't know how you can pretend that was anywhere near a performance. We should have been up for that and we were a mile off - its that simple.
Above you really have said " the best chance of the game imo was the free header from OG which if he had got on target would have gone in" well f**k me if that was the highlight of the game then you really are struggling to be possitive.
