Re the great posts by talkSAFT and 1true above (not sure whether this is one for the match thread but never mind)....
I agree with the dislike of the PL as it is - it leaves me completely cold and uninterested about 95%+ of the time. One of the true exceptions is when you're fighting like fek to avoid the drop - so actually we owe TP a vote of thanks for this. Seriously - that last game of the Great Escape was as good as our FA Cup win IMHO.

Drewks, I couldn't have been happier in '68 but, believe it or not, it was not too unexpected at the time: after all, we'd been one of THE teams of the Post-War (and before). And the '54 side (before my time) was considered to be the best footballing side of all time.

The actual excitement of the 2002 Promotion season was even better, though. It doesn't make sense, but that's how it was for me. That late win at Bradford, and the Palace game when there were 3 or 4 songs going on round all 4 sides of the Ground couldn't be bettered.

(Mind you, the celebrations on Hyde Park Corner waiting for the midnight coaches (in '68) will not be forgotten! Ahhhhhh)

So if Johny Evans isn't picked/risked tomorrow, that's surely a huge indication that he's very likely to go
(....and I know it's not that being cup tied would be an issue going to Arsenal)

I'm not expecting much from tomorrow nights match especially with the injuries. I'm still going to watch it though here in Berlin.

Talking of Berlin, I watched Union Berlin play Nürnberg this evening and it was everything that football should be. Standing terraces (where I was), fans drinking beer, eating pretzels and hot dogs and singing in unison whilst a drummer keeps the beat going. Even though Union lost and have now lost serious ground in the promotion race, the fans kept roaring the players on hoping for it a different outcome.

Fantastic work by both sets of fans.

I don’t have BT Sport so is there any means of watching the game on line?
