We progressed into the 4th round of the Cup, with a comfortable if unspectacular win over Carlisle. 8 changes were made from the encouraging draw the Blunts with 2 youngsters getting a start, O'Grady & Neilsen and again he employed 3 CBs. Goals in each half from Matias & Nuhiu setup a 4th round tie at home v Reading

So Jos's first home league game and we get Colin on his annual pilgrimage to Hillsborough. Cardiff are having a good season and are currently 3rd in the Championship although have lost 4 of the last 5 in the league. It could be an ugly game a bit like last years, though with Cardiff in 3rd place they might be more offensive

Abdi picked up another injury, after training for a few days, muscular problem.

It's nice to have a bit more of a confident feeling. Something needed to change and I'm glad it did, shame the season over for us. A few clean sheets in a row, albeit against lower league opposition.

Saw nothing of the Carlisle replay so just watched the highlights. Matias had a decent game it would appear, which is good to see and maybe will give him a shot at the starting 11, and at least a place on the bench. He is a decent player and one of the few we have with a bit of flair. Good to see a couple of the youngsters in defence, and they seemed to do ok even if it was lower league opposition.

I would imagine its back to more like the Blunts game starting 11 for this one but at least he has a few more options possibly now.
