I too dislike these ‘clappers’ but I have to say it did improve the sound level and atmosphere.
If ‘clappers’ mean points, i’ll go along with them.
Jonny Evans dropped a couple of clangers today which could have resulted in them scoring. Dawson and Hegazi were immense. Brunty has a good game and Phillips faded in and out. In spite of not scoring, Rondon was impressive on the ball and came close to scoring when he hit the side netting. Not sure what the Pole did - certainly didn’t stand out.
A great confidence boost, could and should have been 4-0 and on to Everton for another three points!

Didn't see the game so I'm relying on the live text and different write ups, but it's always interesting how different people view the same game..... a few have said how good both Evans and "the Pole" were!
Great to see that Brunty is still doing well tho ....and that Phillips actually survived the warm up AND the next 94 mins! I think these 2 will be crucial to our hopes - even more so if we don't manage to get another creative midfielder in in the next 2 weeks

Alan Pardew has 5 clean sheets out of 10 games
So with a little more attacking threat we have more clean sheets ?
Now if we could just get that goalscorer in Whistle

Drewks, it is strange how people see different things. Evans dallied on the ball a couple of times on the edge of our box and lost possession which gave them a good chance on one occasion.

For me, the Pole just didn’t stand out in the way Hegazi, Brunty and Daws did. Whether that’s a good thing who knows, but I’m yet to see him play to the standard of his reputation.

Just need a clinical Kevin Philips type goal scorer alongside Ronnie Rondon and we would be mid-table. Plenty on chances.

Things are brighter and will be more so if Sjoke get a 6-0 whupping at Man Ute on Monday!

And here's how I saw things...

Top Performers: Hegazi, Dawson & Rondon.
Decent Performers: Evans & Gibbs
Tried Hard & played their part: Everyone Else

I thought there was actually less attacking play than say the recent Palace & Everton games, but set pieces were obviously better, with fewer passes going astray. Brighton OK in possession, got lots of players forward, but very little actual threat on goal.

Great atmosphere and 3 points made the trip worthwhile.
Just hope there is no problem with the JR incident.

And was that a farewell from Evans after the final whistle ?

Even though I hate the plastic clappers, they did add to the atmosphere today which, apart from 10-15 minutes in the first half, was very good and probably the best it has been this season.

Hegazi looks more & more the bargain of the year in the whole PL, surely?

I think Hegazi is turning out to be a super find and credit to Tony Pulis for that. I'd say he is one of only a few players who can really be proud of their performances this season.

He definately has to be on the list for best bargains this season and he is further proof that their are very good players outside of England who are very capable of making it in the Premier League.
