4 Reasons why we wont lose on Saturday
#1
This is not a streaking down the street situation if we do lose (for a start its too effing cold ) but me putting a different slant to a popular view that we are certs for defeat against Luton.

1) We have home advantage.
2) The new players will have a full week to bed in and understand what Jack wants.(Not taking into account any more new players who may be entering the fray.)
3) The keeper cannot possibly play as bad as last Saturday (can he ?)
4) We,as a team (and Dennis) are due a goal or two (we haven't been as bad as the goal drought suggests).

I dont predict scores but if we could get a draw it would go a long way towards regaining faith in our season.

Luton IS a huge opportunity for us simply because in everyone's eyes we are so certain to lose. Though they are capable of hammering us they have also shown fallibility ...... 4-0 at Vale Park, and they are coming off the game of their lives at Newcastle ...... having lost.

Interesting that Freddy Woodman, England U-20 keeper, had a very shaky game for Newcastle. He did very well when out on loan last season but hadn't played a proper competitive game for six months. Aaron Ramsdale's only two real games were in the Cup for Sheff Utd last season. There just isn't a substitute for competitive games to develop a keeper. You have to play. Ramsdale is bound to improve!

I'd like to see us sign a real centre back for Saturday AND I'd like Jack to come up with a tactical surprise for Luton. The rest of the division has now seen how we won games. BUT I certainly wouldn't rule us out on Saturday, especially now the promotion hopefuls on Bob's Board have gone into misery meltdown.

Blue, believe me if you think I'm sniping you aint seen nothing yet - Bachman Turner Overdrive. I thought you had a sense of humour but obviously you being wrong so many times about our fortunes or lack of them has taken its toll.
I think we will get beat and I don't think we will score again, best case scenario for us 0-0.

Sorry Dancing you caught me with my pants down there .
Id love a 0-0 it means our beleaguered and ridiculed keeper has kept a clean sheet which would do his confidence the world of good .

Let's be fair Dancing, an eternal optimist like Blue hasn't had much chance of getting anything right since the last couple of months of Danny ........ We've been a pessimist's paradise. The worse the future someone like me thought up, the quicker it was overtaken by something even more disastrous. GC on his own would have been enough, but Guy Branston ooooeeerr, we sign Joe Anyon blaaaah, Tommy Lee's career ends aaaaaggh, Jack Lester rides in to save us hooray, car craaash, just when things look almost stable both centre backs out for the season, a full back for six weeks + ........... and all the time we're being sold or not sold and we have money or not and club is in ferment .......

Optimism now equals NO DISASTERS BEFORE SATURDAY. If the Proact disappeared down a post-mining sinkhole during Saturday's game no one would be surprised. If Blue started getting much right in these circumstances his family would have him admitted to the Scarsdale Centre For Terminal Depressives. It just wouldn't be Blue.

I could even suggest the keeper might be in for a bit of a stinker before he had one on Saturday. That doesn't make me a genius. It just means things are as bad as we can imagine. But ask Luton about bad stuff that just never stops happening. They've still got fans with Post Traumatic Stress. They aren't so sure of themselves.

Dev I dont know how you could say I'm an eternal optimist ,there was no one more critical than me of Danny Wilson when you lot were still singing his praises amid the 'hes one of us, don't dare criticise era'.
As it turns out I was right about Danny,he's not had a job since , but unfortunately his successor was worse !.

Blue, he doesn't need a job we are probably still paying him off.
