Ok Happy New Year

Right with all the niceties out the way are you lot all still DRUNK !!!!!!!
This write up is probably one of the shortest I will ever write because there is well nothing to report

I usually mention Balls, who got the Gamball right or wrong
Well nobody got it right .......
So what about the Bonus ball ...........
Well with the exception of BBB who used it for a correct result ERM ......
no one else ......
So where did it all go wrong ?
Well almost everywhere as the scores above show,
Saturday seemed tricky to Predict but i threw a few "give me's" in there for Sunday ensuring we all had a decent return,
That guys is where it all fell down and the good old FA Cup threw up Sunday Shockers !!!
Arsenal ruined a majority of Bonus Balls as this seemed like a banker.
For the record WorldClass came in 1st with a whooping 4 Points,
WorldClass who by Saturday is a nervous wreck and already worrying about Sunday's fixtures well maybe has surprised himself by this result

Derby who was stressing about taking to long Studying his fixtures to much at least came in 2nd with erm .. 2 Points, along with St Charles and then we have our last positive result
Joker got the Magic UN POINT avoiding the minus men by the scruff of his neck
Avoiding the Minus bracket also was DD in 5th with a return of exactly ZERO !!
Nothing to much for our leader to worry about though, lets say nobody has exactly eaten into his lead have they

So now the minus men,In 6th spot we have BBB on -1 good job about the Bonus BBB?
In = 7th spot on -2 we have Sanjay and Twerton and then three bring up the rear in last place all with -4, Amelia , Matt who after one good week puts a sign up on his door reading "Normal Service Has Been Resumed"
And then by Quirk of fate and because of Alphabetical order and in my book deservedly so this week's wooden spoon goes to .................................................
Zinman

Usually on the swinging scene , late night orgies, beer and all nighters, Zinman is getting a reputation for the BALL MAN ..........
Alas this could not be further from the truth this week, yes his Insurance saved him from more embarrassment if at all that's possible, I predict a slippery slope ahead for him as we no what happens when the Balls stop working properly Big Grin
Never mind eh

Next weeks fixtures are up and running and the premiership is back this week guys so we all no what that means for the Albion Confused Well we are playing the pretend Albion this time and at the time of writing I see Stairs as already played his bonus Ball on a West Brom win Rolleyes
So that's that then

Beefy

Premiership
So little to report this week such was the lack of points gained by anyone, the top 5 and the bottom 6 are separated by a good few points and could have their own little leagues to themselves.
DD opened up a 36 point lead at the top, while those below him either lost or made very little ground, although Zin, Sanjay, BBB and SCO are only covered by a mere 12 points, although if this weeks scores are anything to go by that could take the rest of the season to overhaul.
Similarly, Derby, Amelia, Worldclass and Joker all stay as they were, although Worldclass did close up on those above him.
Matt and Twerton show little sign of any fight and are odds on for relegation as things stand.
To show how bad a week it was 11 out of 11 Insurance Balls were successful this week, no Gamballs and only 1 Bonus Ball.
Bomber
As all you Shakespearian and religious scholars will know, this week's fixtures took place over 12th night, otherwise known as the Feast of Fools, when the normal order of things is turned upside down. And so it proved - Albion finally winning a game, Barcelona Wanderers not winning a game and Arsene Wenger not complaining about a refereeing decision......ok, maybe not everything changed. And as in literature, so in the Prediction League where our resident fool, aka Beefy, stunned everyone, including himself, by heading this week's table with an impressive 17 points. On Saturday night Beefy was sitting on 19 points and it looked possible that he might actually achieve his season's best score but thankfully the shock scores on Sunday saved us all from that prospect. Beefy was the only person to benefit from the self proclaimed second best team in the country's failure to beat Swansea and also benefited from his strange selection of fixtures - 8 points from the 3 non-league games. Second place went to Stairs with a creditable 11 points, a very strong Saturday performance with all the results correct except for the gamball. Third, and the only other participant in positive territory was Baggieone, like both Beefy and Stairs getting 6 results correct and getting maximum points from the Newport - Leeds game.
And then came the rest. For the second week in a row, 7 players found themselves in Minusland. Bournemouth is the best of the rest (or least worst?), at least getting 4 results correct but losing out on the gamball and bonus. 4eva was helped to almost respectability by a correct bonus ball (it seems that Saturday was the day to play the bonus as there were no correct bonuses on Sunday). Vic showed a massive improvement on last week but still came in on minus 2 with everyone else having a week to forget (though I suspect Beefy won't let you).
Happy New Year to you all,
Zin (for once actually deep into a bottle of the grape juice of my name).
Championship
A little more action and a couple of place changes in the Championship this week keeping the top and bottom ticking over nicely.
Much like the Premiership the league is split into 2 groups of 5 at the moment with a healthy points margin separating the top 5 from the bottom 5.
Snooty and 4eva are sitting pretty in the promotion places and are not under any immediate pressure from those below them for the time being.
Baggieone reclaimed 3rd place as an 11 point swing dropped Bomber down a place to 4th, where with a 21 point swing he immediately came under attack from Beefy who although staying in 5th, did make some impact in the chase of the top 2. Only 4 points separate 3rd to 5th now.
Quantum held on to 6th, while Stairs took 7th his time at the bottom seems a dim and distant memory now as BaggieVicar drops a place to 8th to make way for him.
Salop drops a place to 9th courtesy of his bad week and now only has Bournemouth below him in the race to avoid the wooden spoon
Bomber
Happy New Year to one and all
