Another Bizarre Offer
#1
Apparently there is an offer for the Colchester game of 15 quid for a family of four in the North Stand. Now I may be off the mark on this and stand to be corrected but what is to stop someone who normally pays 20+ quid for one ticket to buy 4 for 15 quid and either sell the others or just bin them .I dont understand why the club would do this as it will almost certainly result in them losing money .At least make it 4 for 20 quid so it stops this happening .Especially for a match where there should be good demand anyway with it being holiday period and the team doing well.

1) Its not the club its the CFC Trust as far as I am aware
2) The idea is to promote the club and get the kids in which if it does that its a good idea
3) If somebody is such a skinflint to pay £5 less and sit in a stand full of kids then good luck to them.

But if a lot of people have that idea they will sell out of tickets and the stand would be a quarter full .Just make it 20 quid ,still brilliant offer and would stop those 'skinflints'.
By the way Dancing 5 quid might not be a lot to a rich business owner like you but it is significant to a lot of people

Well I wouldn't sit in a stand full of kids at any price.

On the other hand I'm for admission being as cheap as possible for youngsters. Going to the match with your dad and grandad imprints you ....... and you can't help becoming a fan for life.

Obviously rich businessmen should have to pay shed-loads to get in, be force-fed prawn sandwiches and like Alton Towers, who impose a minimum height restriction, a maximum of 6' 4" should be unilaterally imposed to keep out the undesirably tall who might restrict the view of the innocent vertically challenged.

This is the Trust's side on Bob's Bored

The Trust are pleased to be able to welcome all of our participants and partners the opportunity to cheer on the Spireites into the New Year in style!
With a family ticket available at a price of just £15.00 for a family of 4, its one not to be missed! The vision is to bring as many families together in the North Stand to support Jack and the team and hopefully cheer the lads on to another valuable 3 points!
For smaller families or to purchase additional tickets, adult tickets are priced at £10.00 each, with children free of charge!
Tickets are available from The Hub in the East Stand of the Proact Stadium on the following dates:
Monday 18 December – Saturday 23 December (09:00 – 19:00)
Boxing Day – (09:00 – 17:00)
Wednesday 27 December – Saturday 30 December (09:00 – 19:00)
It has been fantastic to be able to offer Trust participants these deals throughout the first part of the season, with statistics to date showing that 2601 people have attended the ticket initiatives with 93% saying they wouldn’t have been able to attend without the Trusts ticket deals.
Thanks to Chesterfield FC for the continued support!

It has been suggested on there the intention might be to attract a large crowd to impress a potential buyer. So perhaps we should allow tall businessmen in too.

If I owned the club I would lower the prices for everyone and get more people in the ground. I would rather have a full or nearly full ground every home match than charge people £20-£25 and have the ground half empty. I would charge Adults £14-£17, Concessions £10-12 and Juveniles £3 to watch L2.

Each division needs a cap on how much it charges it fans to watch football.

When it comes to finances Dev, I'm very conservative. You shouldn't spend what you can't afford.

As a 6'5" maga rich businessman Blue I still believe if you are scrooge enough to want to sit in the North Stand with a bunch of screaming kids you are welcome to save your £5.
I was answering your opening post which suggested it was a ludicrous and bizarre idea by the club. It wasn't. It wasn't the club and its not a bad idea to get future fans in even if a couple of sponging scrounging benefit claiming cheats sneak in. Are you happy now Blue?

No idea where I will park the Bentley next week, the Casa car park is closed because of Christmas functions - oh bagger!

No Im not happy Dancing.I stick with my suggestion that if whoever's idea it was charged 20 quid or whatever price it costs for a single adult ticket it wouldn't be an issue but they just don't put any thought into it I'm sure they just pluck a random figure out the air.In other words they've left it wide open to abuse .
By the way Matt I agree with the principle but that's ok if you have a team that people want to come and watc, which luckily we have at the moment.
Ive said before If the demand is there you can basically charge the earth but if people dont wanna come you wouldn't be able to give tickets away .

The biggest thing that is wrong with our pricing, besides being generally too high for the product on view is Young Adult Pricing. Cut that entirely, lower the prices for all those of school age. At 25 you might have been out of school for 9 years, have four kids, a good job, a beautiful house and a beautiful wife ........ letting the days go by, water flowing ..........

Let's stop creating minorities to cater for; what about a price structure for gay, black and transgender?

What if a few people abuse it? Nobody is going to die. It isn't going to matter. It's not government legislation on the roll-out of benefits. It's only actually going to matter if we don't get a bigger crowd.
