It's all about MONEY MONEY MONEY and sod the fans!
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.
The Premier League is going down the same route as other European leagues with stupid kick off times and the destruction of what was once a good League. La Liga in Spain, Ligue 1 in France and Serie A in Italy have gone down similar paths and ruined the true values of their leagues.
The DFB (Germany's football association) tried the same in the summer to bring the Bundesliga and the Zweite Bundesliga to a wider audience with more matches at different time slots and the fans of most German clubs took a proper stand against it by demonstrating during the first matches of the season. The ultras of Union Berlin and Sankt Pauli, for example, showed their disapproval with big white banners saying "Fick Dich DFB". For any non-German speakers, that means literally "xxxx You DFB". In essence, English football at the highest level is losing its core values in favour of earning more money and it shouldn't be just accepted by fans.

Start every day off with a smile and get it over with
It did actually. The protest was widespread amongst the ultras of the clubs within the top 2 divisions. The white banner was the main choice because it hit the DFB on a national scale on national tv and the top management at the DFB said they would discuss it and they did revert it back to how it was.
However in Germany the DFB actually give a damn about the football fan's opinions so they made the necessary changes. The FA have shown time and time again that they don't give a shit about the fans so any bad reaction or even protests on a National scale would probably be futile.

yet another case of profit before supporters
us supporters deserve better, whatever team we support i will go so far as to say the clubs were not even informed of this ridiculous move how is this going to compete with terrestrial broadcasts of(apparently) The X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing? those programs are free to air are Sky And BT Sports seriously hoping to take away the viewing figures ? maybe if Sky and again BT Sports didnt hold the football fans to ransom by their stupid subscription fees then maybe no wonder their subscribers are now turning to illegal boxes to watch games as i see it the viewers will vote with their money no money from subscribers=no viewers and on a side note to all this about time those two broadcasters realized that not everyone in the country will take out these over inflated subscription fees if all they are getting for the money are regular Man U,City,Liverpool,Arsenal,Tottenham games...... those who DO subscribe to these money making assholes should have at least on what games they WANT to watch rant done and dusted

I had no idea so many of you were devotees of Strictly and X-Factor

Thinking about the German protest described by Josh above, maybe an effective action would be for all fans to email their club outlining their proposal to boycott the first 3 home games of the season ......and then actually do it, with the aim of extending the boycott if need be.
Surely the clubs would then put pressure on the PL /FA /whoever to get this ridiculous situation reviewed.

I hate strikes or boycotts, so I'll disagree, only because I'd prefer to see the game. No offence Drewks.
