Never won on a Tuesday night in the Premiership
A stat I find astounding
25 games, drew 10 lost 15 !!!!!!!
Why we couldn't have brought Mcauley on and Evans to LB i'll never know ?
Mclean as much as i like his 100% is a liability around our own box

Got to give Pardew a chance at uniting us Bog Roll - IMO he's nowhere near as divisive as Pulis and we as fans should support the appointment until such time as it goes pear-shaped.

Can't say as I'm turning somersaults over Pardew (at both Newcastle and Palace he seemed to start out well but then turned both into a shambles), but beggars can't be choosers. We need an experienced head who knows the Premier League, and he fits the bill.
What does my head in about results like this is that we're forever on the receiving end of them, but we rarely if ever dish them out to others. A quick glance at our past results suggests we've blown a lead of at least two goals to draw or lose against Newcastle (tonight), Watford (September 2017), Everton (September 2015), QPR (December 2014), Spurs (April 2014), Cardiff (March 2014), Villa (January 2014), and Villa again (November 2013). And this charitably excludes times when we've had a one-goal lead turned round on us to lose the game, which is too many to count.
In all that time we've only done the same to other teams twice: to Burnley in February 2015 and Palace in October 2014. We're shit-hot at collapsing from this position, but incapable of making comebacks of our own. It really does just make you fed up over the years.

England’s batsmen usually only collapse when asked to get a winning score or defend a total to see out a result.
Albion can’t do either.
Did we put a wall up for Newcastle’s second goal?

Just managed to thaw out and consider last night having got over losing a 2 goal lead. After calming down, I actually quite enjoyed last night, decent football, players apparently able to pass and control a ball (well some of them!), 2 good goals, players actually allowed into the opposition's penalty area and Field looks a real prospect. Yes the result was disappointing but sins of potential improvement are there. And I wasn't totally bored.
