Oh well - let's hope Mr Pardew can work with this up beat couple of games and turn us around. We do have the players and he has a transfer window to fine tune.

More points thrown away, two against Spurs now two more against Newcastle, how many is that across the season so far .....

You'd be hard pressed to find another team in professional football who so regularly and consistently shoot themselves in the foot as Albion do. This isn't Megson's fault, but nor is he the man to solve it.

New boss needed now. Not next week, not next month. Now.

1) 2-0 and we fucked it up.

2) A good point but from the position we were in, it really should have been three.

3) We need the new Head Coach in tomorrow to get things rolling for the Palace game.

4) Thank you Gary Megson for taking caretaker charge at a difficult time and steadying the ship somewhat.

Terrible from start to finish IMO. Even when we were 2-0, the football was slow and poor.

Okay, they were allowed to pass a bit more and occasionally get forward, hence Field being in the 6 yard box for his goal. But the team was far too heavily weighted with defensive minded players. This results in us constantly being on the back foot.

Worst of all, we can no longer defend set plays since McAuley and Dawson are gone.

What is the point in Gareth Barry?

How can James McClean be picked in front of Chris Brunt?

That's the 2nd time McClean has committed a foul when we were winning that resulted in a set play goal against. It was the same against Watford. It's been obvious this season that we are a shambles at defending set plays, yet we continue to commit fouls rather than jockey. Yes, he puts a shift in, but doesn't have the quality or nounce to play at this level.

Have no idea why we spent £15m on Oliver Burke, who will probably not even make the bench when Chadli is fit, yet we have no depth at centre half. McAuley appears to be being phased out and the result is Alan Nyom playing at centre half. While he's good fun to watch when he's galloping forward from full back, he's dodgy as hell in defensive areas and can't win anything in the air. Absolute farse and unless we get a coach in who actually understands the game, I can't see where the next win is coming from.

Will not get a better chance than against that heavily depleted Newcastle side tonight.

What happened to the Megson 1 nil to the Albion. Our rock solid defence is like two month old Blackpool rock ... soft and gooey. Plenty of evidence that we will be here to meet and beat the dogheads next year if they don't bottle it like 2002. May take a little teething to get our bite back ..... but it's coming.

No doubt two points lost again,
But losing Gibbs and Phillips towards the end through Injury is even worse
Even our luck seems to be non existent........
Hope they are not to serious Confused

10 points apparently is what we've dropped from winning positions. we'd be level with Burnley if we'd held on to them all Sad
