Prediction League Tables Week 13
#1

Low scoring week for most with the Gamball proving the difference for SCO to lead with 13 points followed by BBB . Zinman was next in line having managed to get the right result or score in 6 of the games. The rest were in single digits, with the PL leader DD managing to get decent points today to turn a negative score into a narrow positive one!!! Worldclass, Derby, Joker and Twerton were all negative going into today’s games but all managed to scrape enough points to just creep above zero to at least score some points!! Amelia had a nightmare week getting 9 results incorrect!!!

Cheers, SCO

Premiership

A case of “as you were” with the top 3, DD still heads the pack by a slightly smaller margin of 20 points as Sanjay made a half dozen point inroad into his lead, while St Charles in 3rd made a similar gain on Sanjay but still has another 30 to go if he is to force his way into the top 2.
If we had Champions League qualification BBB would have just have moved into it as he climbed a place into 4th.  Champions League – finish 4th ?????, I’ll never understand it  Doh .
Derby drops a place to 5th although only by a couple of points, it’s another place dropped after suffering the same fate last week.
Zinman is on the move again up another place to 6th and within reach of the 2 above him, his climb is at Amelias expense as a 20 point swing this week drops her into 7th and perilously close to the 2 directly behind her.
Worldclass and Twerton stay as they were in 8th and 9th and are still comfortably ahead of the relegation places, which are occupied by Matt and Joker who are both victims of joining late.

A tough week for predicting a correct score, with only 2 matches providing maximum points. Fortunately for some the Gamball proved the easiest match to get right with this week's top 3 all gaining 16 points from Chelsea's fluke. A number of competitors were left sweaty with their bonus balls on the Hudds/Man City game but, much to their relief (and Snooty and Amelia's frustration), City came through in the end. And I promise that's the only time I'll use the words frustration, relief and sweaty balls in the same sentence.
So this week's winner is Bomber with his season's best score of 27 - his second consecutive 20+ score. Is this the start of a surge for promotion or just a mid-season blip? Fighting for second were the other perfect Gamball players, Baggieone and Stairs with Baggieone just ahead due to his extra correct score. Baggieone is another on a roll with his 3rd consecutive 20+ week - I wonder what that's done to the overall table? $th place goes to Quantum with an impressive 7 correct results, including the Gamball, but no correct scores.

Then come the rest. Beefy has apparently given up on promotion and is happy to coast along in mid table. By not playing his Gamball he scrapes into 5th place - about as entertaining as a former manager I could name, eh Beef? Vic and 4eva were saved from a negative week by their bonuses on Man City while Snooty couldn't quite bring himself to predict a Huddersfield defeat but at least covered himself with his insurance ball. This week's only minusman is Bournemouth who, after a good start to his belated season, is now being dragged down to Beefy's level.

Championship

Just like the Premiership the Championship top 3 stay as they are with Snooty at the top (Insurance Ball number 13 – although it was his beloved Terriers to beat City  Sad ). 4eva stays 2nd the gap unchanged from last week, which he’ll take seeing as 24 hours ago it looked like it could be worse. Baggieone stays 3rd but closes the gap significantly on the top 2 as he becomes the third to hit and pass the magic 100 mark.
Bomber moves up a place into 4th and is only an average week away from the ton as well. He tells me that ”he’s coming into form at just the right time and will take each week as it comes, it’s too early to talk about the top 3 yet and is not thinking about promotion either, just next weeks games”. (His words, not mine) Big Grin  Big Grin
Bournemouth makes way for Bombers climb by dropping back into 5th, where he is now under pressure from Beefy who moves up another place for the third week in a row into 6th swapping places with Vicar who now occupies 7th.
Likewise Quantum swaps places with Salop in 8th and 9th respectively, while Stairs gains some much needed ground and now he’s getting the hang of the Gamballs who’s to say he won’t begin to climb  Thumb up .

Don't know if it's just me but I can't access the "get more" smileys

When I click it the slider at the side of my page just disappears and I can't move the page up or down Huh more importantly can't get to the Gamball icon

I have not given up on promotion the last few weeks have seen me rise up the table, Note Bombers comment moves up another place to 6th, I was bottom a few weeks ago,
A few more 20+ weeks should see me move well into the chasing pack, Even I can fluke a 27 like Bomber did Angry who I predict will fall like a stone next week Whistle
On the plus side I'm just a few points Off Stevo who as usual after a bright opening is now struggling to keep pace with the Marathon men and not the quick off the mark no stamina sort of guys, Yeh he may have missed a few weeks at the start, but they were really difficult fixtures, oh and I was in the minus score when he began, talking of minus that makes Stevo this weeks MINUS MAN Laugh and the Joker just keeps getting worse Laugh
You couldn't make it up could you Whistle Laugh

Sounds a bit like Zinman being ghost written by Simone. That and Beefy has got his daughter writing for him. Some long words in there.

You're probably right Beef bit like Chelsea's goal that banked me 16 big ones without that it would have been nowhere near 27, oh hold on 20+ in consecutive weeks.

Come on mate get week 14 games up, I feel lucky, all good things come in threes Big Grin Whistle
