I only have ever expected him to be in the running. Telling if his talent from the juniors translates is impossible. I just know that when you have gone down hardly scoring a goal and follow it up the next season in much the same vein, seeing if you've got a young lad on the staff who can kickstart a few things is good thinking. Hope it works for Ricky, for Jack and the fans. You'd love seeing Joe starring in midfield and Ricky causing bother up front wouldn't you?

Yes I would .I am giving a clean sheet to everyone who I have criticised as I think Jack is capable of extracting improvement out of all of them and those he cant he will get rid of

About time too. Everybody seems to think our attacking force has been ok but its been abysmal. German and Brewster deserve a chance.

O'Grady may do a lot of good work up front, but there's no point in it if we don't score. Eventually the opposition push on, start to dominate ...... and get the winner.

Harry Kane was complete pants for England against Slovenia. No aspect of his game was even adequate for 93 minutes. In the 94th minute he scored. That cancelled the previous 90 minutes, changed the headlines and turned an abyssmal England into comfortable qualifiers. We lack even the thought of a scaled-down version of that happening for Chesterfield. Jack Lester himself used to do that for us, he could turn pants into celebrations. By just being there he gave us hope.

Carrying a genuine goal threat improves both the midfield and the defence - always. Even if we had Chiellini and Pique at the back we'd struggle if we remained toothless in attack. But equally if we had them our attack would improve too ........

I think youth strength and pace are great additions to a team. You can't readily do without experience, but you do need weapons for experience to fire.

I tried to argue on Bob's Board that what we needed was not support for O'Grady, but players for him to support. There's no point in him keeping the centre backs occupied if no one is using any space and time he creates.
