TP , Could This Be It ?

I play football on a monday night, wear my nice newish top, with my surname and lucky number on the back, my son (almost 4) takes an interest in it, wants to know who the team are etc.........i fear sending him over to the dark side......bit brighter at the golden palace. Isn't the mighty one sunning himself in Barbados ? gardening leave hopefully.

Unfortunately I can no longer get to games at the shrine due to rickety old legs that need to rest every few yards or so but, I feel for you guys that do go.
I can only watch from afar and heaven knows that's painful enough.

Those, like myself, supporters for over 50 years, can only look back and reminisce about the greats of days gone by and some of the matches that we saw when Albion played the sort of exciting football that is no longer available or, as  it seems by present management, permitted.

I don't often watch MOTD now but, the other week I saw a brilliant performance by Man City who played flowing football that simply blew the other team away.

Oh where oh where are the players of the calibre of Regis, Astle, Bomber, Hope, Cantello, Hartford, Wile or Statham and many many more.

No wonder us old fogies prefer to live in the past but, remember, to paraphrase a saying on one of my "Old Guys Rule" Tshirts:-

THE OLDER I GET, THE BETTER IT WAS!

Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

If one of his sides were playing in my back garden I'd close the curtains.

You and most Baggies fans. I haven't been all season ..... was planning on a season ticket after retirement but as yet can't bring myself to get it ..... I can cope with losing, it hurts but I can cope, I can't cope with being bored to death, not entertained and paying for the privilege ........ "at the end of the storm there's a golden sky" I keep hanging on to that thought.

West brom can get a better manager than pulis.

He has jetted of to Barbados. What the **** is that all about. Given the problems with the squad if I wanted to keep my job I’d be working at the club. Researching players. Working with the Squad etc.

But a lot of the squad are off on international duty, in fairness. Let's hope he uses his break to consider his position.....

Players I can accept. But a manager in crisis I don’t. If owned the club I would take that as a sign of defeat

Maybe a good sign .......out of the way when announcement is made > not here to face immediate media frenzy...

....maybe/probably wishful thinking on my part tho  Cry   Cry

I don't have any problem with him being in Barbados at the moment. It is now the International break so maybe he, his coaching staff and the remaining players not on international duty have been given a few days off.

A refresh of the batteries might help him see the light and change some things for the next match or two so doesn't lose his job.
