sorry to see the scots miss out
and also the dutch
as for England?
we all know what comes next:
friendlies against pi$$ poor opposition
the press get all excited
get drawn against one or two decent opponents in the world cup
and fail yet again

As an Englishman living in Scotland for the last 36 years, I've taken my share of footballing ribbing but none of it malicious or personal so I'm gutted to see Scotland go out tonight. They play with a passion and a spirit in direct contrast to the drivel I've watched England deliver these last two games. I don't think I've seen a more soulless, sterile performance; it made the Albion look like Real Madrid from the 1960's. I know Southgate exudes all the inspiration of a man standing on the gallows but I suspect the real issue is the dearth of English players in the EPL because the quality of what he has to choose from is wretched. I'd love someone to convince me that Henderson is a footballer, not an international footballer, just a footballer. Rashford is as over-hyped as it gets. There is no creativity, no pace and no passion. I long ago gave up on watching England and this last week has confirmed I made the right call.
At least the fun return this weekend, c'mon you Baggies

Does anyone think that if Chris Coleman leaves his position as Wales boss then they might go for Tony Pulis?
