The Owls v Leeds SBC Match Thread
The first 20 minutes we looked a bit nervous, when Leeds had their best spell, but the rest of the game we were by far the better team, yes they had a few chances, but we could easily have had 6-7 on another day.

September player of the month vote, that shouldn't be too difficult. If anyone doesn't vote for Hooper they must be a Blade.

I didn't see any of the game as it wasn't on live stream on ididdle and I couldn't find a live stream elsewhere that didn't want me to become a member of their dubious offerings. So I put up with JP until the 81 minute mark when we got our third. Then I had to go. I think my racy pic of Susan had a lot to do with our win. I'll remember that for the next game. Whistle

Quick question. Should we have had a penalty in the first half when their defender looked like he blocked with his hand and then scoop the ball away. It was at the far end from me and my eyes ain't what they used to be!
You know nothing, Jacko

A penalty and a goal.

Didn't see it at the time but they showed a replay and I would have been pissed if that had been given against us, so I would say no it wasn't a penalty.

That's the one I mentioned earlier. 99% of home teams would have been given that. It's a difficult one is handball though. Did he have intent ? and in my book, how much do you allow for intent and/or acting when the ball is heading towards goal like that ?

One thing I will say is I'm damn sure it would have been given if the boot was on the other foot at Bellend Road.

The ref had a decent game though Thumb up he was just let down badly by his assistants. Both lino's were totally incompetent. Lee's "goal", the penalty, Roofe's effort that Wildsmith saved etc Doh
and complicated

Definitely the linesman, ref did OK to keep the cards out.
