Ska'd, World class, two very good posts, sorry to say this is the state of English football, everything (here I go again) is geared up by the FA for their elite club of six to monopolize football and challenge in europe ....... the other fourteen just want to get to 40 points to keep their snouts in the greed league trough ...... breeds very defensive football.

Gone but not forgotten .......... a level playing field
Gone but not forgotten .......... teams trying to win every game
Gone but not forgotten .......... attractive, entertaining football for the masses.
Gone but not forgotten .......... the working man's game.

RIP ...... the English game.

Pullis "“We played well up to the edge of the box but we just let ourselves down with our final pass.”

Does he mean our box or theirs?

Salop the bloke is a fool if he thinks we played well. That sums up his ambition and the massive difference in mindset with us fans in what we think is good entertainment and what playing well actually is.

Why did he take Brunty off?? He was by far our best player. Brunty threw his shin pads down in disgust at being taken off and rightly so.

I actually think he is starting to lose the players now as after last weeks showing at Brighton not once did he say 'They worked 'ard' or they are an honest bunch of players. He was pissed off and there are players stomping their feet about now and showing discontent, like Rondon, Chadli and yesterday Brunty. Good will and effort only goes so far but if you have a manager who doesn't let you 'play' something has to give. Hopefully it will be him going up the road. Just my opinion but I can't stand the man or his so called and I use it in the loosest of terms 'football philosophy'

I assume that Tony was actually quite happy with the result yesterday. It was after all exactly what he set out to get.

Not once did I hear "England's England's Number 1" from either part of the Smethwick End. Not once!
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Even though we played shite yesterday we still had the clearest opportunity in the game. Morrison with a free header on goal and somehow managed to put it out for a throw in. Gave him the benefit of the doubt seeing it live and thought he may have misread the cross, but watching it back it's a shocking effort.

Think there are a few sacred cows in our squad that aren't allowed to be criticized and Morrison is definitely one of them. Great servant but we have better players in the squad now and it's time for Pulis to start utilizing them.

Been mentioned on here already but I can see the latest transfer window being Pulis' undoing as he's now got a much better squad than when he first took the job on and think if the performances stay like the one yesterday, he'll be looking for another job before too long once the results start slipping and not picking up the points.

Meanwhile down at Bristol ..........................

These three paragraphs appeared in a Bristol newspaper's report of today's 4-1 win over Derby County.

A new star was born in 18-year-old winger Jonathan Leko, the loanee from West Bromwich Albion, whose quick feet won a crucial second-half penalty.
The crowd rose in adulation when the youngster was substituted on 64 minutes, having run himself to a standstill.
“Jonathan is like Michael Flatley, a Lord of the Dance,” beamed a delighted Johnson afterwards. “I asked him to go gung-ho for an hour and he was outstanding.”

If anyone is on Twitter there is a video of him dribbling into the box turning about 3 players inside out and then being brought down for a Penalty,
The Bristol fans are calling him a genius, shit off a shovel , better than Tammy Abraham last year,Oh and why don't WBA want him Doh

He is proving a class above in the Championship
Fingers crossed xxx

Cant wait till Pulis gets him back and plays him at Lb or at worst a DM Rolleyes

I am looking forward to the day we have Leko on one side, Burke on the other and believe it or not Rondon in the middle purely for his ability in the air, two super quick wingers and an old fashioned centre forward to knock them in, I bet many would think I must be a dinosaur to think like that

Yes Salop, your a dinosaur, how could you possibly think about attacking the opposing goal, no good can come of it, this scoring goals lack will never catch on .... rinse your mouth out with soap.
