Talksaft, like your thinking, Jay Rod may venture to far forward , he may reach the halfway line, McLean can play just in front of the pole in the hole, have the whole team packed in to ten yards ......

It was a year after Greece defended their way to Euro 2004 triumph and they actually played a formation similar to the above. I think it was three centre backs, two wingbacks and four defensive midfielders. It was pretty much a 9-0-1 (  ) formation when they didn't have the ball and I think they still lost.

Josh, don't want to seem picky about your maths but surely it was a 9-0-1 formation unless they had two goalkeepers ......
