Pointless - this week W, X, Y, or Z
For T how about Somen Tchoyi. Did he score a hattrick at Newcastle or is my memory fading with my age?
Ifi Udeze - a dodgy Nigerian defender!
Carlos Vela - A Mexican forward who promised much but achieved very little. Sounds like our present day forwards eh?

Some good ones already.
Udeze: Where I sat we all used to call him "Whoops" when he made a cock-up!
Valero was a good player before and after he played for us, but we played him in a defensive role, and should have used him further upfield, where he could show his ability better. (Bit like playing Mozza in that DM role).
Somen Tchoyi did look a handful at times, but we used him sparingly as a sub.
What's happened to George Thorne these days? I know he had big injury problems, but Derby fans thought he was a top player when we sold him to them.

Carl Valentine
Albion's first Canadian player?
Remember seeing Valentine’s winner against Villa from The Woodman Corner. He seemed to sort of sit on the ball before scoring! Little did we know at the time that it would be another 25 years before another Albion player would score a winning goal against Villa.

Filipe Teixeira. Quite enjoyable to watch but injured for a long stretch.

Jason van Blerk: A regular in Brian Talbot's team of the early 90s. He was even crap in that awful team, and must have averaged 10 touches per game.
John Trewick, on the other hand, was so unlucky to have made his breakthrough at the same time as Pop Robson and then Johnny Giles in the late 70s. He was almost as good as both of them (imo), and that says a lot!

I mentioned George Thorne to a certain member of Derby's coaching staff on Saturday night - apparently he's very close to getting back (may have been in their EFL squad last night). Only 2 cruciates (both knees)and a broken leg since he left us - I feel a bit sorry for him despite everything.
