I agree Zinman, and this against a team who had not score before today so we take the field with three defensive midfielders to nullify exactly what threat? However, these tactics play right into Brighton's hands. I'm sure it's been a wretched performance on the pitch but it was a totally clueless set up before we even kicked a ball. Pulls can have no complaints about the investment given to him in the transfer window but the owners an sure as hell question his competence

To be fair to TP, every team coming out for a second half should be alert to the opposition trying to get a quick second, and it looks like our lot were asleep. And Foster should have saved it, apparently.

I agree Aries but my biggest issue is our negative set up against a non scoring team. I'm sorry but I completely fail to understand Pulis' logic.

So at 3 -0 down we put on a more attacking midfielder and we have a couple of chances. I wonder what would happen if we tried this astonishing tactic at 0-0?

BaggieSteve, I was giving TP the MASSIVE benefit of the doubt, but only for those few minutes at the beginning of the second half. Like you, I can't see the point of playing a RB at LB. Is Kieran Gibbs THAT unfit? Et cetera. It's just a xxxx shambles.

Last 15 mins was decent, with good impact from all 3 subs, but the rest was woeful.

The balance of the team was all wrong. While I could understand everything - Pulis was clearly trying to fit in players who had impressed in previous weeks (Nyom, Barry) while also bringing in Evans and Krychowiak, who on paper are probably our best players - but it just didn't pay off.

The end result was a team that didn't gel at all. This lack of cohesion, along with almost everyone playing terribly, lead to the inevitable result. Individuals who are usually solid, like Foster, Nyom and Phillips were dreadful on the day.

I've backed Pulis to date, because I think he's done well with lack of resources (results wise). However, with the squad we have now it's time for him to prove himself. He's going to have to be ruthless with players who he favours or who he's just brought in, because you simply can't play with the likes of Krychowiak, Barry and Livermore together.

Nyom must be dropped or play at right back. Rodriguez must be dropped or play up top. These square pegs are simply not fitting into round holes. As for Rondon, how many times is he going to be allowed to play like absolute dross before he's ditched from the squad? Chadli didn't even make the bench today and he's probably our best technical player, yet this donkey who can't pass the ball 5 yards continues to be in our first XI.

Sign one,
Play a RB there instead
Leave the LB on the bench ..........
Mmmmmmm ?

WellI did warn you Whistle
All the riches we have Pullis still plays square pegs in round holes,
Nyom if starting should have played at right back with the correct left back we haven't had for 3 years starting.not rocket science,

No idea why we started with 3 dms, when morrison came on we looked better, but equally Brighton were sat back holding on.

Nyom had a mare, the missed header seemed to knock his confidence ,

All in all poor but we all know we will have these games over the season. That said, hard not to attribute it to the way we set up. Invited Brighton onto us all game rather than having some confidence in our ability to go forward and cause problems. Rondon poor too, but had little support and service.

One bright point for me was Burke, caused problems when he ran at them and his knock back for the goal was smart.

So now with a squad nearing good premiership potential our head coach now needs to man up
Tone we now have a LB
And stop playing with so many DM's
Also how Livermore plays for England is beyond me.
Buck stops with TP today,Full STOP ................................

I wouldn't mind so much if was Man City or Chelsea we'd played, but Brighton have got to be one of the easiest teams we are going to face this season, and we go 3-0 down to them. For xxxx's sake.
