Brown Ideye becomes the first Albion player to score a winner against Stoke at the Hawthorns since Scott Dobie; 14th March 2015
While things remain less than satisfactory on the transfer front, you can't knock Albion for grinding out the wins under pressure. After back to back victories to begin the season, plus the further bonus of a refreshingly simple League Cup win, it almost feels like we're due to come a cropper.
There are few sides in the division we'd less like to do it against than Sunday's opponents, too. Saido's back in town with all his new mates, and though he remains goalless for the Potters, there's no denying that he's shed a few pounds over summer and is looking hungry in more ways than one. Albion can't afford to doze off in this one. Bare minimum, we want a draw from this one, and - if it's not too much to ask - an actual football team by this time next Thursday.
