WBA Transfer Window - Final Day
Burke signed on a 5 year contract. There are lots of links on 'newsnow', apparently £15m but says undisclosed figure. He looks class on YouTube but don't they all. Let's hope Pulis actually plays him. He certainly looks an exciting prospect, direct like McClean but very rapid and 6'2".

Surprised it's a permanent deal as he is still relatively unproven. Plus I didn't think winger was priority.

That said, it's an exciting signing.

I saw a fair bit of him at Forest and he's fast, direct and positive. For a year we've been playing counter attacking football with a relatively slow side and he will add some much needed pace and ability to carry the ball forwards quickly.

Left back, box to box midfielder and a couple of centre backs required now...

Would I be greedy wanting another striker as well??

Quite excited about Burke, young pacy and well built, him and Phillips could be very dangerous on the wings and we'll pose a real threat on the counter. I do think we've made strong signings from what we can tell so far and this may end up being one of our best windows for awhile.

Also TP at his presser said we are still after 4 more !!
Maybe the wait will be worth it after all ?

On transfers: "There's still four areas we want to fill. At the moment nothing done with anybody. Hell of a lot to do in a few days. #wba

Didn't this 'Burke' fellah have a mate who supported him?
Might be worth Uncle Tone looking at him as well !

We need a LB, 2 CB's, box to box midfielder, attacking midfielder and a striker especially losing Evans and maybe Chadli.
That would still only give e us a squad of about 23 ........ if they are good enough and young enough, it could be the foundations of our European push .........

Burke's got bags of natural talent and pace. He's a big strong lad too, I'd like to see him more involved with the national team so I am hoping he does well for you.

Burke does look a quite exciting prospect, quick and a football brain beyond his young age. Yes he still needs some polish but I have seen a couple references to him being the new Gareth Bale. (granted one was in a YouTube Video Smile )
