But we won't  Doh we will start 4-4-2 with CC's little boy scout club of favourites until his hand is forced when he's chasing a point or one of the balsa boy's is injured and he only has an hexagon left to fit the round hole Cool

AND THAT IS THE POINT WE HAVE ALL BEEN MAKING SINCE THE HULL GAME  Doh

And I have never disputed that point!!! With the right wide men we could win with 442, but we have no pace to play with out and out wide men. Playing Bannan in the middle as we have this season is the right move, he has been our best player from what I have seen so far. Reach looked good at LB tonight and was far more effective going forward than he is when he plays on the LW!! I don't want CC out like you all do, I want him to make the changes and get us moving in the right direction. Twice now this season he has reverted to 433, he didn't do that last season when we used to see like for like subs all the time, that is progress but he needs to be bolder and let the team really go for it from the start.

Missed the second half due to a work meeting but good to see that we got one back in the end after giving up such an awful sloppy goal in the first 5 minutes.

On the plus side its only 3 games in, we are still unbeaten at home (and it was a dodgy penalty against us at Preston Angry ) and we had lots of possession and 17 shots today.

It seems to me and in spite of our extensive squad and new medical team that a few players are carrying knocks or minor injuries even as starters. Hopefully the new Portugeezer will integrate straight in and can partner Lees on Saturday.

I agree with Imre that our best current starting 2 forwards are Hooper and Fletcher but before the game Fletcher was reported as carrying a knock so no surprise with Winnall in today especially after he scored at the weekend. I think splashing the cash on Rhodes was a big big mistake but probably made in good faith by DC responding to the very same fans that are now most vocal on slagging him and CC off.

Hopefully the slower than anticipated start to the season will now encourage a change in formation from the beginning of games and that a lot more effort is put in practice into getting set piece goals - we've been abysmal for years at those !!!

We need to remain positive and not jump onto the world is ending band wagon just yet. I think one of our biggest current issues is missing Lee from the midfield so I hope the specialist gets him sorted pdq.

Thats why it would be good to see us start 433. He's had to swap things in the last 2 games at HT because what we started with wasn't working and thats down to the manager. Can Carlos see that is the question, a good manager would.

IMRES NO BULLSHIT RATINGS ROUND IN CIRCLES WE GO

WESTWOOD...5 Im not sure if the goal was his fault as i was to busy watching the benny hill type chase nearly 6 players did against 2 Sunderland players Doh but his time consuming awfull kicks were as frustrating as CC 4-4-2 system Thumb down

HUNT...6Hes never going to get more than a 6 as hes only pub league quality but he grafted hard tonight and put mcdidilydo in his place (not hard like as he one has one move like wallace Whistle )

LEES....5 Joined in with the benny hill chase and got socked for it didn have anything else to do after that the big minus rating points for me was found on the back post on his jacks and miss timed the header terrible unforgiveable school boy error for a center half Thumb down

PUDIL ...5Ball watching on the line when Sunderland scored fell on the floor more times than Fessi a complete clown Doh

KEANE...7 MOMAt left back he plays much better as he can attack the ball and his skiny arse isnt waiting for it to be crumpled by a defender ! good second half and made at least 50% of his crosses count tonight . so with this CC wont pick him to play there saturday as that wouod be to sensible Whistle

JONES ...6 Lost quite a few balls and also made quite a few id say 50% he hit tonight aswell the crowd strated to grumble at one point when he passed it back for the 19th time but you can see that cc has ordered him to do that and nothing else and with CC you have to be carefull as the Vortez is an feffer Whistle good goal although sunderlands defence all just fell on the floor like drunks Whistle

BANNAN..7He didnt start to play until the 25th minute and all we got was 3 yard back passes although they were 100% Whistle came to life after and when he runs at the defences he opens gaps up everywhere and this is what he should be doing so a good sign as hes starting to tick again and thats 3 games on the trot now so hes being consistent aswell Thumb up

WALLACE...3I forgot to put him in on saturday as he did that little tonight he did more he lost the ball every other pass he made Doh his set pieces are a complete waste of time Angry the bench bekons Whistle

ABDI....5Way of the pace of first team football and looked slower than loovens at times but did make some clever passes and set pieces which his team mates wasted Doh on another day .... sorry with another team he could have been the creator of goals and the hero of the match !! but not ere old sunshine so youd better go back to the Vortez while we pay you millions of pound a week Thumb up

WINNALL ....4 He does try i get that and he also gets played out off posisition which i also get ! but he missed a sitter in the first half and his ball controll was that of a pub league player he cant make even a 2 yard pass count ? hes way out off his depth and needs to play in a team that is more direct like Barnsley where for him to score goals bench fodder saturday Whistle

HOOPER...5His finishing was so frustrating today and yet again i can see him dragging his body round the pitch at times hes way to slow and not sharp enough infront of goal id be tempted to drop him aswell for saturdays mullering at Fulham although he looks the best partnership for Fletcher who has to play !

FlETCHER...7 Asked Sunderlands defenders if they would like a game of Football and they accepted Whistle got in all the right positions stretched there defence to the max and gave Reach more space on the left Hooper also got two glourious chance put on a plate for him im sure if they had have started then at least one of them would have scored tonight Thumb up

RHODES...3 Missed a complete sitter yet again so thats two games on the trot for the man who wasnt getting any service ? he now is and cant score Doh sell him to wolves for 20 million straight away please because if we dont we lose 10 milion Doh

PALMER NO RATING WTF CARES

CC...0Hum the theme tune of the magic round about Thumb up

IFOLLOW...3 Watched the first half in slow motion then it stayed on HT until the 60th minute and then i watched little blurred figures like one of those 80s football video games Doh sent at least 5 emials that i had to type in the words Feff xxxx and Barstards Whistle i should imagine they will give a a mail back about saturday morning when im going through the same old shit Whistle

Imre for what ever reason when they stop Ididdle for HT it seems to just freeze there.
Next time try exiting it and going back in around the time the 2nd half should start. That's worked for me on the IPad/Phone App. Thumb up

I would take no notice of what CC says. He is a professional manager and will keep most things behind closed doors when he can. He has always been positive in his interviews no matter the result.

It's not a dig at you Chaz Cool it's just pure frustration at CC's stubbornness to refuse to see what we all see and have seen all last season Angry I have to work with some of the village idiots Angry how f'ucking bad is that while you're roller-skating in the sunshine with 'guys' wearing crop tops in Frisco Huh
and complicated

I'm no longer roller skating with the LGBTQZXY community, I am now down with the surfer dudes and their man buns in Southern California!!!!  Still, their girlfriends look better that the roller skater's other halfs!!!

I have no problem taking the dig even if it wasn't intended, I need to remain somewhat positive on here to balance us out a bit!!! Tongue

Maddix its only you that has to put up with the YMCA Village People. Doh

Keep up with the times - SCO moved on from 'Frisco to SoCal now and its all Valley Girls instead Tongue . Though you never know he may just show up in Imre's pool next if he keeps heading further South every year

Oops I see he beat me to it already while I was typing

Also there's still another 129 points to play for so I'm staying positive too for now.
