Pointless - this week W, X, Y, or Z
Ah, maybe not 1st team, I'd forgotten that bit. Got in trouble down Plymouth way over a road accident, I think.

I really liked this guy

Bit of a hot head , decent pace , lacked composure in the tackle but ok  Thumb up

Hey up Beefster, pick your own. I had him picked a few pages back Smartass

Talking of "Pointless" (the TV prog), Chris Lepkowski was a contestant last night and got to the final. Him and his partner said they were huge Albion fans.

I'd say Ska'd was last week's winner with Ibanez and Glen Johnson.

This Week WBA players past & present whose surnames begin with K or L:

Don't forget:  you must have seen him play (just to exclude 19th Century etc players who are of no real interest to most) and, just for interest and debate, add a few notes about the player.

Like the TV gameshow Pointless, aim for the most obscure players you can remember, and no peeking at WBA History books.

K us difficult for a 'pointless' as not too many so I will go with Derek Kevan. I can think of a more recent one whom I thought was brilliant for us but to easy.

The Tank was everyone's favourite, WCA, and a legend in USSR where they nicknamed him "The Locomotive" back in the late 50s when he played for England.
I actually played against him back in the 70s. (No great feat on my behalf. He was playing for Ansells Reserves in the B'ham Works League, and he was probably about 45!) He was quite a character on the pitch that day (where he played midfield!) but I didn't recognise him, and only realised who he was after the game when I signed the Teamsheet. So I missed a great chance to tell him he was my old idol.

Tony Lange. Made a cracking save in (I think) the match where we beat Pompey with Lee Ashcroft's header to stay up, and the TV commentator said it was great save by Stuart Naylor.
