WBA Transfer Window - Final Day

Well, we can dream

Why does it take us so long to sign anybody?? Rodrigues wants to join us and his club do not want him but it still takes ages. Cannot understand why the club could not agree £5m for Charlie Taylor if Burnley can, do the club really think they are going to get a quality defender for less? Really thought things might change with the change in ownership.

Various sources stating that Rodrigues will be joining on Sunday

I can't understand people Sad
Bournemouth spending almost 20 million on a 34 year old (over 3 years)and another 20 million on a Chelsea youth player
Good players maybe but 40 million ? really
We have this same conversation every season , Look at what Hull have spent look at what Norwich have spent and it makes no difference,
Jay Rodriguez has been on holiday like so many players have and its my understanding he didn't fly in until early this morning yet it looks like the deal maybe done by Sunday or monday,
Come on guys get real, we can't officially sign anyone until Sunday FFS !!!!!

Cannot see this happening Beefy although it would be great. If it is true that TP has £40m to spend Carvalho would cost almost all this. If JR is costing £12m that leaves £28m, with TP wanting to get at least a CB and maybe LB

Wake me up at the end of the month  Doh

WAKE UP ITS A NEW MONTH. DD Angry Angry

How come WBA were not linked with these two??

West Ham have failed in club-record bids for Cologne striker Anthony Modeste, 29, and 25-year-old Villarreal forward Cedric Bakambu. The Hammers have offered about £22m for each. (Daily Telegraph)

West Bromwich Albion have agreed a £12m fee with Southampton for the transfer of striker Jay Rodriguez, 27. (Telegraph, via Birmingham Mail)

Another one we haven`t been linked to..... Do Wet Sham have their own scouts out now??

West Ham are to make a move for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, 29, who joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2015. (Bild, via football.london)

Quantum, due to Brexit and elections and hung parliaments the pound is quite weak ...... I think currently one pound buys you about one euro nine cents, over the counter you would get €1.06 last time I checked. Last spring 2016 you got around €1.40 to the pound. So it is pretty much one for one give or take about five pence.

Pound slightly stronger ...... £1 = €1.15

Andrew Gaffney on twitter (very reliable i believe he broke Camacho story last year) says its us who has bid 12 million euros for Iborra and that should be enough to get him.

According to the local press #WBA are willing to pay €12m to sign Iborra who struggled to get a regular starting spot under Jorge Sampaoli.
