He has done nothing to inspire me with any confidence and I think he has had more than enough time.
You say give him 10 games next season. How many points would you expect in those 10 games before you throw the towel in, 30, 25, 20, 15? You say you don't very often get things wrong but I can remember many an occasion when your ar5e should have been trotting up your street with failed premonitions in the past.

You wont let that one go will you Blush .10 games should at least give us an idea of how good the summer recruiting was so I think I will be able to make an assessment by then.I'm hoping for an improvement similar to that of Cookies first full season when he brought in Ryan Morsy and Roberts .

It's good that Wednesday's U-23s are well under. I wasn't getting at Wednesday, but our football in general.

If it were up to me I'd scrap U-23 competition worldwide. It is an idiot feather-bedding dividing line that prevents, rather than encourages, development IMO.

People develop physically, mentally and in terms of skill and game-playing at different rates. Clubs and countries should be aware of that, but not to the extent of creating protective age-groups that encompass almost half a player's career.

AND it defies our experience of growing-up. The old days of playing in the back field ...... wasn't it great when the bigger lads let you play? Didn't you develop faster, didn't you learn new stuff, didn't you improve? I did!

When you are 18 you should be playing with men and against men. Pro's should be able to see who is developing and whose game is showing no signs of coming through to professional levels. They should be seeing who needs more time and who is ready now. At the moment they try to judge players of about 17 on how they look against only 17 year olds. The result is they cut players who go on to immediately thrive in non-league football against some very tough men and persist with others who look good in every friendly but almost never translate it to a properly competitive game.

Why do so many players grow up so injury-prone these days? Is it because they play too much, or is it because they train too much and play competitive games too rarely?

There's nothing wrong with Wednesday (apart from being Wednesday of course), but there's quite a lot wrong with football.

Well that's only going to surprise Pooch.

If he's good enough for an England U-20 team I reckon he's good enough Sheff Utd's squad in the Championship and I'm not sure what he'd have learned with us!

Would have scored a lot in L2 though for us. But I agree if he's good enough for England U-20s then he's good enough for Sheffield United's first team.

Blue will be heartbroken. I hope to god we have more irons in the fire because if not we've most definitely had it.

Who is to blame here ? is it Sheffyoo or us ? .The disappointing thing is why have the club have made a statement on main site suggesting it was part of the Ched deal yet AC says it was only a verbal agreement .If it was part of the Ched deal then it would surely be set in stone as a contract otherwise we could rip up the Ched deal cant we ?.

Seems we're to blame for trusting them. And then AC clearly misled fans. Let's all act surprised.

The lesson is, for future deals, repair relations with Wednesday, especially after they've knocked us out of the Copacabana Trophy on the beach in Rio. They've got more good players!

I don't think we want any more old Irons, or fires at the moment thanks Dancing.

I didn't think stirring a loaned youngster into a squad whose main problem is inexperience was the answer anyhow. I think we were as likely to make him worse, as him make us better.

So Wilder has apologised but says Brooks has 'kicked on 'since they agreed to loan him to us so they want to have a look at him before they send him here.Just saying .

Rumour that Everton are thinking about putting a bid in for him.
