Eddie Colquhoun, Scottish centre-half of the late Sixties. Bought from Bury, stayed about eighteen months, went on to Sheffield United and then America to play indoor football.

We'd already got Yorkie and The King upfront - I had a photo in my old scrapbook of the 3 looking over their shoulder at the cameraman, all with no.9 on their back. Ray had been top scorer and England International for Alf Ramsey's Ipswich team that won the League in '62. (12-06-2017, 14:10)Kennyg Wrote: Len Cantello! What a class midfielder he was! Thoroughly agree about Len....and Carson! Stacey was a decent player in a poor team in the '90s. I think he was a local lad (?)

Ian Collard of the famous 1968 team; played in the League Cup final of 1967 also.
Bobby Cram played for us for 12 years until 1967 (You don't get that kind of loyalty nowadays) Jim Cumbes goalkeeper who only stayed around for 2 years before moving to the Vile. Clive (Chippy) Clark who could ever forget little Chippy racing down the wing. He was also a master of making an incoming tackle look worse than it actually was. Would be booked for simulation now. He took a lot of battering though as he was a marked man in more senses than one. Garth Crooks - enough said!! (Barry?) Cowdrill played over 100 matches for us but, long forgotten I suspect.

Collard has been a forgotten man, but I thought he was very underrated; very skilful with great balance. I remember rightback Crammy getting a hattrick against Stok;, and Cowdrill was also underrated. Jimmy Cumbes was ok, but he was a better fast-bowler for Worcs. ![]()

The winner for last week has to be Bierzo's Andy Comyn, amongst some good others.
This week D I can only think of a few at the moment, but I'll go for Chuck Drury, who was our regular 'left-half' back in the early 60s. I think he was Scottish, and difficult to distinguish from the terraces from Bobby Cram, who played 'right-half').

John Durnin, striker we had him loan from Liverpool around late 80's.....scored a few and I don't know why we didn't sign him. Probably couldn't agree a fee
