Agreed. I was just quite impressed overall at how labour used social media to get round the likes of the sun and the mail that were to be honest pretty disgusting and unrelentless in their attacks on corbyn many of them well 'below the belt'.

Yep! I'm delighted for Corbyn and, as previously described by a number of Sb members, he is an honourable man who is not easily riled by all the 'shit' that has been flung at him. If I was Corbyn, I would finally dump Dugdale as Scottish Labour leader even though they had some gains in Scotland as she had the audacity to suggest to potential labour voters that they should vote Tory if tactically required to do so and bring down the SNP - outrageous, it backfired on her anyway and she's been constantly at odds with Corbyn in a Blairite haven called the Scottish Labour Party. Also god bless that high turn out of young voters in England, something that didn't happen in Scotland and it should indeed be a lesson learnt by the SNP for the future + 'patience is a virtue' when it comes to finally activating the formal quest for Indy ref 2 and all the allied unionists are 'firmly placed on the back foot' with no political clout to stop the swell of Scottish support that will finally back it.

I think no one could blame him if he did. Scots labour are a joke,a complete liability and they also have tried to undermine him constantly - especially the horrific ian murray. The labour MPs that were elected was down to labours manifesto and corbyns popularity,and the unionist vote engaging in some tactical voting.Nothing to do with kez.

In short Scottish Labour get Dugdale to eff, stop following the Ruth the mooth's 'Indy Indy Indy No No No!' narrative, and get fully behind Corbyn then they will make inroads in scotland.

Jim, can't say I know much about the DUP, nor what they support or don't support.  Obviously in the past their support has been useful but not really needed due to the Tory majority, now they actually have been handed some power and say in things and it will be interesting to see what they do with that and if they get anywhere near what they want.  May has no mandate now to go for the hard brexit, she will have to soften the stance on that, if she survives at all!!

To be fair i think the battle lines between hard and soft brexit are pretty confused in any case. The whole thing is a total and utter shambles. Corbyn is by far and away the most credible potential PM the country has and he still lost by 60 seats.

If todays press is accurate a lot of tories very uneasy about a link up with the orange order. It's highly ironic that a prime minister who railed against religious extremism at the start of the week ends up announcing a deal with one of the most sectarian parties in Western Europe in order to cling to power.

To be honest SCO i think we're simply in a holding position at the minute, and the whole thing will collapse. There will be another election soon.

Also Jim read the Wings over Scotland dissection of the election results in Scotland and a strong suspicion of unionist parties' collusion (perfectly legal btw) to maximise the effect of the unionist vote in a FPTP election by leaving certain seats to other unionist allies who will have a good chance of winning. For example look at Labour's Ian Murray who had the highest majority in Scotland (Edinburgh South) by 17k votes - he won marginally in 2015 but this time the Tories effectively provided a 'paper candidate' and gave the guy a 'free ride' - suspicious? Damn right it is!!! In Gordon, the Tories had to turn around a 21k vote loss - they turned it around and won!!??? Note there is not one Scottish seat that had a Tory-Labour 1 and 2 placing or vice versa! I must say I found John Nicolson's loss in Renfrew to a Libdem, Swinburn, as suspicious and it's all coming together re the way it's been done to try and overcome the FPTP set up and beat the SNP in an alliance of cooperation!! It's legitimate but highly questionable and labour backing Tories in a unionist pact - FFS what's the world coming to and Corbyn should indeed sack Dugdale asap - again shameless political moves being played in Scotland by unionist card holders!! I think the SNP should make it known throughout Scotland - f###### shameless unionist b###### and 'shades of 2014' all over again but they still lost the overall vote to the SNP by a country mile and their media/govt backers unsmilingly  professing that 'Ruth the mooth' won!!! She only polled 22% of the Scot vote but won 13 seats - do the arithmetic on that one and conclude it aint right - f###### chancers at work again in Scotland!!!

Just listening to lesbian, Ruth 'the mooth' Davidson absolutely 'slavering' re the implication of her leader tying in with an anti LGBT extremist group like the DUP!!! Again the word 'shameless' comes to mind and nothing is beyond the crass values of these unionists!!
