WBA Transfer Window - Final Day
Perhaps Fletcher leaving is a good sign, two thirty somethings out leaving room for younger faster taller centre backs. Bringing down the age of the squad by a few days.

Re losing Darren Fletcher, who has played consistently well (bar the last month or so - probably his age caught up with him).
Apart from acquiring a new one-for-one replacement, maybe Livermore can show us why he got an England cap. I think he's been disappointing from roughly the time he was capped. My mate's a Hull fan, and was saying yesterday that losing him was a major blow for Tigers, and he couldn't believe that my assessment of him was relatively low.

The M/F collectively let us down in the last couple of months. But if we can get a fully fit Phiilips, and get Yacob back regular we can use Chadli in a more creative no.10 role. Morrison and Brunt's performances got us upto 8th place early in the year, and apart from needing an extra number, it's not a BAD midfield, just a formation problem that we've got, caused by over-cautious management. We actually looked like a half-decent Premier side until we lost Phillips, and reverted to 4-3-2-1. A lot believe Sam Field is good enough, but I'm not sure that he is yet - maybe next year
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Take him on loan with an option to buy at £12m if Arsenal are prepared to deal. No doubt West Ham will also want him though !

Didn't he turn us down last year to go to Arsenal? At least that's what the papers said.

Would assume if it was true that there would be interest. Especially as he did quite well for them on his limited opportunities.

Loads of additions from last few days - Now we are in June the real activity starts.

Problem is are we still the last team allowed at the trough or do we stand a chance of a few earlier deals to make next season exciting.

I will admit that I want one of two things to happen:

1. TP to leave in the next few weeks, or
2. TP & club to declare his stay for next season and start buying players

Stairs, I've said it before and I'll say it again - this is a tremendous thread, with tons of hard work ('aard work as TP would say!) and research gone into it, and everyone who reads it is grateful to you for it. Well done again!
