Didn't want to know when we were desperate for a wealthy fan to help out when we went into administration either. Angry

No probs Wakey lad. A quick bit of advice is to stick to the city centre. Preferably an area called Merchant City. Lots of pubs and restaurants there....all good and never seen any bother there. Don't go drinking near Hampden itself, as it's situated in a dry part of the city...meaning there's only a few pubs and they will all be packed full of Scots. Get a train or taxi out there and then same back.

We were in a place called Drouthy's on Queen Street. About 15 of my mates were there all cheering on the Town.
They don't half put you through it. 2 penalty shootouts in 3 games. But we are good at them. The last time I remember us losing a penalty shootout was at Wembley in the Autoglass v Swansea. We might have lost one since then but can't remember. We've been involved in at least 4 of them since and won them all.
What a day. What a team. What a manager. What a chairman. And you fans that went to Wembley - outstanding. Sung your hearts out and more.
Those scenes as Schindler stuck his penalty away.......fantastic. My mates were all talking about getting a season ticket for next year and sharing it around all of us. But I said to them.....I bet they are all sold out before we get a chance to get one. Just how far have we come since 2 years ago. Premier League and sell out crowds. Unreal.

We went to Merchant City to eat. Loads to choose from.

Probably got your hotel sorted Wakey. If not, I often stop at The Avonbridge in Hamilton on business trips, just off J6 M74 (keep turning left, even when you think you are going into a bus lane, you aren't). Short walk to Hamilton station for a train into Glasgow(or change somewhere like Newton for a trai to Kings Park or Mount Florida. A few decent little pubs up the town and a decent curry house or two. Good grub at the hotel, beer is drinkable if cold and fizzyish. Very popular restaurant with the locals too. Not too expensive all around usually.
A guide to cask ale.

Only really just getting my head around yesterday, this season and what it all means to a lifer like me.

Amazing scenes long before Schindy's penalty, the 39000 swollen by family and friends and mates of other teams tagging along, by those making a huge personal commitment to travel from overseas like my mate from Toronto with his son to get to his 1st game of the season, my brother from Spain and he can barely afford the outlay.

We edged it on chances created, Izzy will not want to watch his early miss too often, Wells really could have put down a marker late into ET with a more composed strike but we never do it the easy way.

Once again Wagner's humility and personal standing will have risen with all his post match comments and manner. For Deano, I hope he trousers a good chunk of the incoming £ to repay some of his 50mil outlay and as fans we dont forget where we've come from how long and difficult a road its been and get too giddy or cocky.

Its far too early to even consider who comes in who goes we just have to trust the board, the management team and all we can do as fans is recharge our batteries over the next 8-9 weeks to have a right good go come August and support them this coming season in a similar vocal fashion.

A couple of incidents stand out to me this term, after the 1-0 defeat at BHA when Wardy's gaff gifted them the win, almost everyone of the 500+ midweek travellers stayed to applaud town off and showw support for Danny Ward for which he showed real appreciation and thanks. 10 days later our 1-0 defeat at Reading when without VLP we battered them 2nd half but just couldnt equalise, again to a man the away support gave a standing ovation at FT, something was brewing then when I look back as early as Sept.

I must write to Wembley to complain about those chopped onions cos people around me, my self included were streaming, my daughter thought it was hilarious.

Incredible outcome incredible day so proud to be a Uddersfielder.
